Xfinity Router Ethernet Cable

Nice modem/router for home use. Work well with Xfinity cable tv.

I was using Comcast/xfinity cable router w/WiFi modem, was not able reach to few areas of my house but this C7000v2 is simply great with fast reach. Love it… I am glad I made the move to this router!

Good cable modem, easy setup thanks to Xfinity. Paired with the AXE7800 Nighthawk Router to avoid poor performance of modem/router combos.

Attached this to my Xfinity Router's WAN and had trouble getting it to setup and work properly. Turned out the new 40 ft. long CAT6A cable had an RJ45 connector that wasn't making good contact. So if you do not see the WAN1 light go green, assume it's a bad cable connection. If you do proceed it will not set up correctly. Also you better familiarize yourself with LAN and Router terminology as the setup program that you have to run on the net from Synology will ask you to answer questions you're not prepared to answer. After 1 try (and a guessing the answers) I had to factory reboot the RT2600AC and start over and then got it correct. After the unit was set up and running it is awesome. Areas in my house that had a very weak signal now have 5 bars. I can even take my iPad outside of the house and get a remarkably strong signal there.

It definitely increased the Wi-Fi speed over my previous Unify setup, pretty much double it. I can get on an iPhone Internet speeds of 500Mb/sec if close by and 200-300Mb at a greater distance. There is no 2G/5G separate connections, the router is smart enough to figure out which connection is the best. The installation was easy after I've figured out how it works. First and foremost, DO NOT attach an ethernet cable. It'll stop the setup. Bring the AP relatively close to the main router, run the phone app to set it up. It takes a rather long time (~3 to 5min) to do all its setup. After the setup is done, you can move it to another location and connect an ethernet cable. It'll figure out by itself that the cable is plugged-in. Highly recommended product.

Have had It for a week. Installed like a breeze, runs like a breeze. Connected to router via Ethernet cable. All laptops connect through wireless with no issues, same for AirPrint. Installation was easier and simpler than I expected. Tray holds 250 sheets and that is enough for my needs. Have printed some 150 sheets so far with the starter cartridge and it’s holding good. The cost of replacements seems reasonable too, compared to the competition.

my home office was at far end of the house from the cable router - no issues now. Love the extra ethernet ports on the satellite.

I purchased this to increase the WiFi coverage in my house. I was considering purchasing 2, but started with 1 just to see the coverage. Overall, I get about 25% better signal at each end of the house with this set up in the center so an improvement over the WiFi router my ISP provides. I have basic networking experience and the software was a breeze to setup. I really think anyone could do it, but give yourself a good 15 mins to click around and understand their web interface. I simply plugged an ethernet cable into my existing WiFi router, then into the PoE adapter that came with the AP. Then just ran a second ethernet cable from the PoE adapter to the AP. Mounted it on a wall with their hardware and was done, took less than 5 min total.

Purchased to connect a Wii to a cable router through an Ethernet cable to watch streaming Netflix. The setup was easy, just plugged-in the adapter, connected the cable, went into the Wii setup and told it to update, inserted the Netflix disk and I was done.
