So here it is I bought these speakers and just received them today. I had a 5.1 Yamaha Sound System but because of a baby and the potential to pull the tower down upon themselves I decided I needed something more compact. So Roku you were the first choice because price wise you knocked it out of the park with the $149.00 price tag that I was able to snag them at. I get them home and let me tell you the hook up was so effortless and simple. I loved the fact that you could place the speakers either way you wanted and be able to program which was left and which was right. I have already tested several movies and the clarity of sound and volume of speech is perfect. There is one draw back that I would like to address and that is that when in game mode these speakers shut off and the sound goes through the TV speakers which I expect shall be addressed in an update I hope sooner rather than later. If you have a RokuTV then these are the speakers for you. I assume a center, sub, and rear speakers will eventually be an option to add and if so Roku let me know because I would love to test them out for you. Get these speakers! You will not be disappointed.

I really like this new Arc design even if it is a little bigger in person than I expected. We are replacing a Yamaha 5.1 system with this and so far the sound has been excellent; especially the dialog and resonance. I can't wait for the Subwoffer gen 3 ro arrive and create some serious impact.

I bought this receiver for the Bluetooth connectivity. I am now able to play my iTunes songs from the iTunes cloud through my iPhone and the new Receiver to our inside and / or outside speakers - all from my lounge chair. I am handicapped, so this is of great help to me.

After replacing my 30-year-old Sony Prologic 5.1 Receiver with a new Sony STR DN590 5.2, I felt that my 30-year-old Yamahas needed an upgrade, also. I went online for reviews of several candidates, and the SS-CS5 stood out among the others. I have not been disappointed! Its bass melds with my PSW10, like the proverbial "seamless garment", superior to its predecessors, to produce concert level bass with Eric Clapton's 1988 version of "After Midnight", and the treble and midrange handles both contemporary and vintage female vocals, as from Bond themes. All-in-all, a great speaker!

Purchased 3 weeks ago to upgrade from a 2011 receiver, I found this Sony unit is a great value purchase for a "simple" 5.1 setup. It offers plenty of power for smaller home theatre rooms, has enough surround sound options to pick from, supports ARC and 4K HDMI passthru, and the user interface with easy tuning/setup are all major selling points in my book. I you want an honest value in a 5.1/5.2 receiver... I think this unit is a bargin!
