Yamaha Bluetooth Transmitter Volume Low

2024-06-14 03:12:29

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Set up was fairly easy and I was able to pair different types of Bluetooth headphones so that's a great win. The sound will obviously vary depending on the Bluetooth speakers or headphones you are using. I didn't notice any latency but your results could be different to mine. As you can see from the images that I have added the transmitter is very minimalistic and almost takes up no space at all. The transmitter will do only that transmit. For volume controls, you will have to rely on the volume control or your Bluetooth device.

Excellent product. Very good high frequency range. Low frequency (bass) volume is low.

I purchased 1 of each - Low Lid + Hi Lid . Please do see my other review on the Hi Lid one as well. This is lighter but in terms of the volume there is not much of a difference. Well built and sturdy with minor eccentricities around locks and back handle.

I wish this was available 12 years ago when I purchased my current Yamaha RX-V863. It fits perfectly on top of it. I have a rear vented cabinet with a glass front door. The cooling is great. An example: Ive had it 2 weeks and forgot to turn it on yesterday letting the top of my A/V receiver get to 108°F. Within 5 minutes in the Auto mode the temperature dropped to 98°F. It took 20 minutes to reach the programed 84°F with my ambient temperature of 77°F. I didn't have the amp volume up very high. This unit is a must to help elongate the service life of your investment. And yes, it's quiet even with all 3 fans running. If you had your volume very low then perhaps you would notice it slghtly. This is a perfect solution as compared to my diy usb 4 inch fan that looked ugly next to my amp.

Very satisfied with this amp. Sound is clear at low and high volume driving my Polk RTi8 speakers and Polk HTS10 sub. Ive always liked the Yamaha loudness control for lower volume listening. And I occasionally rattle the windows with vintage vinyl rock. Music that was made loud to be played loud. Yamaha delivers. And so does B&H! Great product selection and buying advice, complete specs, and fair prices.

I bought this item from last week and I'm currently using it to my Yamaha DD65. It is so amazing that my double pedal works too, and it has a volume adjustment that I can control in the back and touch sense with low noise rubber pad when I'm hitting it.. Im enjoying this tower kick. Its like a real acoustic. Rock on!

A week into this amplifier and I’m pleased with its performance and value.  The A-S301 replaces a Denon PMA-600NE which I had -- briefly.  The main problem with the Denon was the dodgy motorized volume control.  Like the motorized volume control on the A-S301, it rotates clockwise from about 7:00 to 5:00 either by hand or by using the remote.  The problems with the Denon were (1) it had almost no volume between 7:00 and about 8:30, and then the volume came on with a rush and (2) the steps using the remote were too coarse (an online review of a Marantz amplifier – same parent company – noted the same things).  I was curious how the Yamaha volume control would work, but I need not have worried.  I stuck a little orange dot on the volume knob and it was easy to tell that both the knob movement and the volume levels were aligned, and that the amplifier was capable of fine adjustment manually or with the remote.  The other nice feature about the A-S301 (and its siblings) is the loudness control.  I haven’t needed it much for contemporary CDs or FLAC files, but recently I got some FLACs and CDs of re-mastered Arturo Toscanini/NBC Symphony recordings from the early 1950s. These are mono, but adjusting both the volume and loudness greatly improved the listening experience.  Kudos to Yamaha for that feature at this price point.  I’m using a pair of Polk ES15 speakers, which is a combination that several online reviews recommend.  I also have a Polk XT10 down-firing subwoofer. My living room is not large, and the Yamaha/Polk setup makes for a very good listening experience.  The only thing I miss from the Denon is the built-in Bluetooth for listening.  I like to play music from the speakers, and also use a pair of on-ear headphones around inside the house.  I still haven’t found a good solution for that, but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. Taking all into consideration, and as others have noted, the A-S301 punches way above its weight.

These outdoor speakers sound very nice on our back patio. We’re fortunate to have a covered portico where we were able to mount them vertically with opposing side walls to reflect passive radiator bass sound equally. We have an older Yamaha Aventage A/V receiver which provides 150 watts per channel to our zone 2 Def Techs, controlled wirelessly through the Yamaha controller app. The speakers play background music sweetly at low volume, and really pump out nice, full range sound when cranked up. Bass is quite good at party volume. Have to be very careful not to get kicked out of the neighborhood! Very happy with our purchase.

Historically I've always used Yamaha FC7 volume pedals, but I wanted to try something with a smaller footprint. I've read many reviews stating the superiority of the FC7, and while I do agree it is smoother and more sturdy, the EV5 has turned out to be much better than expected. For me, the lighter weight and smaller footprint was worth the switch.
