Yamaha Hs8 Studio Monitor Stands

I bought these stands for my studio's Yamaha HS8 monitors. They are great at holding the monitors in the air, in line with my ears, where I can hear them. They have locking pins in case the pressure knobs should fail. I don't have a problem with them wobbling or tipping because I don't bump into them. That's really the secret- be a reasonable human. After all, you just spent a lot of money on those monitors and stands! Don't run around your studio, don't record groups of small children (I'm talking about you Kidz Bop), make sure your mountain of blow is on the other side of the room, etc.- all the basic safety precautions a normal human would take when using expensive technology. These stands hold up your 8 monitors and do not fall down.

I was very pleased with these On-Stage Speaker stands for my Yamaha HS8 speakers. They are sturdy and well made. And the price for them was very reasonable.

Wow. Wow. wow. The quality of this DAC is out of this world. I am using this DAC with my Yamaha HS8 powered studio monitor speakers. Before this iFi DAC, I thought I had purchased cheap speakers ($750 for the pair). After installing this DAC, my speakers sound like $7500 speakers. The DAC provides such depth and breadth that you think you are in a real studio with very expensive equipment. even though the front panel has a POWER MATCH and TRUEBASS buttons to enhance the audio, I find the FIXED switch on the back that passes the signal with no enhancement a better option.

The Yamaha HS8 is a fantastic, simple and accurate unit, especially for the price. Matched with the HS8S, this system provides an incredible dynamic range, amazing frequency response (22Hz - 30kHz with sub), and the system blends nearly seamlessly. Worth the extra few dollars over a KRK or alternative entry-level reference monitor.

I ordered a full Yamaha HS8 setup and have been incredibly impressed. I have two of these HS8 monitors and 1 of the HS8S (matching subwoofers). Together these bring insanely high-quality studio sound to my setup. The speakers fit great on the side of my desk (I have a larger 80x30 desk), and the sound quality is fantastic. I highly recommend it!

I was looking for some monitors for my music production system, and found these Yamaha HS8 were just right. They are not too big, and just the right size to place on either side of my keyboards. The sound is clear and they have the right connections on the back.

I like a lot, if fits very well under my table and it is almost invisible. I had the Yamaha HS8 Powered monitors for about a year, I thought that were big enough as to render a good bass but now that I have this subwoofer the difference is day and night. I thought that the value is good as well. I mostly do voice-overs and radio commercials.

I bought a pair during 2014 Holiday season here. I was shopping for good sound speakers for a while and actually listened to Yamaha HS8 in @. After the wonderful holiday discount, Adam is still twice as costly as Yamaha's. But boy, the sound! I'm glad I didn't buy Yamaha earlier. The money is well spent on Adam. I'm not a musician. I simply need active speakers to listen to music, mostly classic and vocal and some pop/jazz/country, basically everything except heavy metal or hiphop. I adjusted the low and high in the back and put them on good stands behind my desk and put my head at the sweet spot per instructions, then the clear and full spectrum sound just keep flowing in straight to my soul. I had B&W DM603 floor standing speakers before. I also have Sennheiser HD600 headphone (which I paid over half a grand a few year back). I feel that Adam is the most clear sound in both high and mid, for both instrument and human voices. Adam's low easily beats both. Front base port probably helps a bit here. It's not just the quantity, it's more about the quality of the base - very clean zero distortion base that simply surrounds me all over when listening to well recorded music. People say studio monitors are flat so may not be suitable for normal music listening. Well, comparing to B&W, I like this pair better. I never feel they add to or take away anything from the music. In fact, I start to notice some music details that I didn't know existed before. I like Yamaha HS8 too, especially its warmer rendition of human voices. But overall Adam's clarity/cleanliness throughout the sound range easily set itself apart.5 stars indeed.
