My working computer is a MacBook Pro 13 2017 4-port. I am learning video editing and needed more screen real estate. After researching prices for quality 4k monitor prices for my laptop, this iMac was only a few hundred $ more, and you have a new computer to boot. This machine is blazingly fast compared to my MacBook, and verified when checked with geekbench's free version, which is to be expected with a newer machine, and the screen is beautiful. My only complaint is with Apple not making the wireless keyboard with the same size keys and spacing as a MacBook. Going back and fourth between machines, as I do in my daily workflow, I find my fingers overshoot on the smaller wireless keyboard. The new Trackpad has some of the same feel issues as well. This is my second keyboard sustain pedal, the first was a yamaha fc3 (or something of the like) I stole from my friend and he stole it back... So I had to find something comparable, but I didnt want to spend big bucks. Alas, for the price of next to nothing, I found the SP-2. Works equally as well. Why spend more? Furthermore, some of you have commented about how this sustain pedal doesnt feel true to touch or is delayed, any comments regarding a sustain pedal cutting out, or being oftime is more likely a cause of poorly built I/O or a undeperforming CPU. With any sustain pedal being more or less an On/Off percentage based switch (with very limited circuitry), this really shouldnt be an issue of the pedal. I have had no problems with the SP-2 and dont expect them. Nice job M-Audio!(or should I say AVID?). 5 |
