This product -- especially when combined with a split ergonomic keyboard -- helps to reduce stress on your wrists. Clutching the mouse puts a lot of stress on the muscles in your forearm. But you roll this big trackball with your open hand. Instead of clutching the mouse button, you can simply tap one of the big programmable buttons with your thumb, and the mouse locks and drags until you tap the button again, when it releases. The scroll wheel is terrific. It seems like an afterthought but I use it all the time. I like this product so much, I bought one for my business partner for Christmas. Just like the split keyboard, people who sit down at my computer and use the trackball for the first time hate it. But if they use it for more than one full day, they end up loving it. 5 |

This is a great trackball. I use it between the two halves of a Kinesis Freestyle Pro split keyboard to reduce horizontal arm movement. The front has legs which can be raised to create a flat profile (but not that it sits fairly high in this orientation). Also note that there is no horizontal scroll capability on the scroll wheel if that's important to you. For me, these aren't issues and the huge trackball and click buttons make it very easy to use. 5 |

This is my second keyboard sustain pedal, the first was a yamaha fc3 (or something of the like) I stole from my friend and he stole it back... So I had to find something comparable, but I didnt want to spend big bucks. Alas, for the price of next to nothing, I found the SP-2. Works equally as well. Why spend more? Furthermore, some of you have commented about how this sustain pedal doesnt feel true to touch or is delayed, any comments regarding a sustain pedal cutting out, or being oftime is more likely a cause of poorly built I/O or a undeperforming CPU. With any sustain pedal being more or less an On/Off percentage based switch (with very limited circuitry), this really shouldnt be an issue of the pedal. I have had no problems with the SP-2 and dont expect them. Nice job M-Audio!(or should I say AVID?). 5 |
