This is my second keyboard sustain pedal, the first was a yamaha fc3 (or something of the like) I stole from my friend and he stole it back... So I had to find something comparable, but I didnt want to spend big bucks. Alas, for the price of next to nothing, I found the SP-2. Works equally as well. Why spend more? Furthermore, some of you have commented about how this sustain pedal doesnt feel true to touch or is delayed, any comments regarding a sustain pedal cutting out, or being oftime is more likely a cause of poorly built I/O or a undeperforming CPU. With any sustain pedal being more or less an On/Off percentage based switch (with very limited circuitry), this really shouldnt be an issue of the pedal. I have had no problems with the SP-2 and dont expect them. Nice job M-Audio!(or should I say AVID?). 5 |

I use this on a Roland and Yamaha digital keyboard. It really smooths out the response of the keyboard and helps tame the harshness. 5 |

My prior experience is with Dell Precision M6600, M6800 and Lenovo Thinkpad P51 mobile workstations. Thus far, this HP is incredible. It is the best designed workstation that I have used: from the aluminum chassis to the glass trackpad, under-hinge vents, to the tool-less internal compartment - it is obvious that this redesign was well thought out. The fans are mostly silent. On full load they ramp up to a low-pitched whir that is amazingly quiet compared to competing notebooks. There is no coil whine, quite unlike the Lenovo P51 I owned. I am using the 2.5" drive bay and I have converted the optical drive bay to accommodate another SSD with a caddy. There are still 3 Nvme slots available though one is occupied by the system drive. I have undervolted the CPU which allows better performance. The cooling solution allows full turbo boost with all cores maxed out. There is occasional thermal throttling, so repasting the CPU will probably help. There is no power-limit throttling. The Dreamcolor screen is gorgeous. The Dreamcolor functionality can be switched off in the BIOS if one prefers to use integrated graphics to prolong battery life. All in all, this machine was worth the wait for me! 5 |
