Yamaha S15 Studio Monitor Speakers

I am very impressed my my new Yamaha speakers.

It fits my S15 which is what I needed.

Wow. Wow. wow. The quality of this DAC is out of this world. I am using this DAC with my Yamaha HS8 powered studio monitor speakers. Before this iFi DAC, I thought I had purchased cheap speakers ($750 for the pair). After installing this DAC, my speakers sound like $7500 speakers. The DAC provides such depth and breadth that you think you are in a real studio with very expensive equipment. even though the front panel has a POWER MATCH and TRUEBASS buttons to enhance the audio, I find the FIXED switch on the back that passes the signal with no enhancement a better option.

This compliments my s15 speakers perfectly. Same beautiful look and adds a clean, booming bass to my music and video enjoyment. It was easy to add to my bookshelf amplifier (SMSL AD18) which has a sub-line out.

If you need a passive near field studio monitor a little like Yamaha NS10s but with a nicer sound these are your babies! They have low distortion and a really nice high end and not harsh but also retain a very workable low end which makes mixing a breeze. I use them everyday as a mixer in Los Angeles.

I recently purchased the Kali Lone Pine Studio Monitor V2 speakers and I am blown away by their performance. The sound quality is crystal clear and the bass response is impressive. The compact size makes them perfect for my home studio, but they pack a punch that can easily fill a larger room. The build quality is top-notch and they look great on my desk. Speakers are great and the price was great. Yamaha speakers just sound great. Wish B&H would not use Fedex for shipping. They moved arrival date so many times I had no idea when it was coming.

I purchased the Roku Speakers for my TCL/Roku 65" TV hoping that those speakers would sound better that Yamaha Soundbar I had attached to that TV. I have some hearing problems and the Yamaha Soundbar & Internal TCL speakers were not cutting it. Surprise, the Roku TV Speakers are doing the job and giving me a much better listening experience.

I use these for my Yamaha NS90 speakers, works great for sound quality.

I needed a monitor controller for my studio for two pairs of speakers and a couple of inputs. As much as some of the functionality of active monitor controllers appeals to me, the sound quality is first and foremost. And we all know that unless you spend $3k - $10k most active systems severely color your sound - a little more than my current budget. I wasn't sure what to expect with this affordable passive controller however, after spending a few weeks with it I can say without a doubt that it is a great addition to my studio. I hear no coloration or change to the stereo sound field. The Mute, Dim, and Mono sum functions are really handy. And the build quality feels good under your hand. My only complaint is that it would be nice if the knob travel was detented for repeatable levels. Two Big Thumbs Up!
