I have a Yamaha XF8 Motif keyboard which is huge: 18W x 57L x 6. This dustcover has lots of stretch (think of dancer's tights)and wraps quickly and well around the instrument. Because it is so taut, it looks smooth over the instrument. It fits into its own pocket, which is small enought to hold in your fist. Bottom line: I like it; it works. 5 |

This stand is very high quality. It goes perfect with the Yamaha P-45 digital piano. I would recomMend this to anyone getting a Yamaha Digital Piano. Thanks B&H. 5 |

I must admit, the first time I unboxed the instrument, I was amazed at the build quality. It has some heft, the keys are properly and ergonomically placed and you know Akai really took their time to perfect this wind controller. But as a long time saxophone player, the first time I actually played some scales, I was quite disappointed - it didn't feel like a saxophone. I was beginning to regret my purchase and thought about exchanging it for the WX5. So I gave it a few more days. Days turned to weeks, and I am beginning to appreciate this instrument. Keep practicing those scales, breathing with the mouthpiece and you realize how this is such an amazing wind controller. I made a mistake thinking that this is a replacement for a saxophone in an apartment situation. In reality, you should think about how this instrument can be an extension to your musical endeavors. The possibilities you can do with the sounds and playability are endless. There are a few usable synths prebuilt, but I suggest using the Akai EWI 5000 Editor to really play and edit your sounds then save it to the user bank. Also there are synths out there that can be used if you plug the EWI as just a midi wind controller; unfortunately you can't upload other synth sounds into the controller. Definitely give it some time to get used to the instrument especially moving from one octave to another. Keep practicing and you'll appreciate that there's hardly any moving parts here. I was opposed at it first since horns have that tactile and key feedback. But with the touch sensitivity, it really felt I was playing an instrument from the future. Again, you just have to get used to it - think about when mobile phones shift from physical keyboards to the modern phones we have today. And here I am today still keeping my purchase and writing a review. I thank Akai for making a top-notch wind controller and continuing the support for the modern electronic wind musician. 5 |

I use this on a Roland and Yamaha digital keyboard. It really smooths out the response of the keyboard and helps tame the harshness. 5 |

This is the perfect item for powering clip-on instrument microphones or PZM's, especially when recording to a portable digital recorder with built in XLR jacks. Good Luck finding another model at this low price... 5 |

This light does just what I want it to. I use it with my Yamaha digital piano. It clips onto the music stand attache to the piano. Lights the music well without glaring in my eyes as it can be easily adjusted. I especially like that you can choose a cool light or a warm light. Highly recommend. 5 |

This is a GREAT value. I like the classic Yamaha styling and construction. The A-S801 has a good amount of power, sounds very accurate, smooth, listenable. I put together a modestly priced system with Elac Unifi UF5 speakers and a Cambridge CXC, and also coupled it to my TV. The Yamaha's DAC is excellent! New buyers should beware the standby switch on the back which is on by default - IMO you will want to put that in the OFF position right up front. Also, it should go without saying, use the Pure Direct button to go beyond MidFi sound. One quibble is regarding the speaker binding posts. While I appreciate that they're gold-plated, I would have much preferred if a) they would take spades (I ended up getting Audioquest banana-plug speaker cables, a good match for this grade equipment) and b) if the binding posts were mounted more securely - they move around and one thinks something is going to break plugging in the speaker cables! On the design front, my biggest wish for improvement would be to have more digital inputs. It does have independent digital optical, digital coax and USB, but the USB is limited in requiring a Yamaha software driver for Windows or Mac, and not available for Linux, so not compatible with, for example, a Bryston BDP-Pi digital music server. I would expect the next generation digital integrated amps will have multiple digital optical and multiple digital coax. If you're tempted to get something in this price range, go for it - this is a great cornerstone for a truly enjoyable audio system. It will do the most important thing: make you want to listen to a lot more music! 5 |

The Yamaha TF5 is laid out beautifully for even first-time digital console users. Well built construction with a user-friendly interface. Great sound quality for entry-level digital console. One-Knob feature is great for beginners. 5 |
