Mic is great for USB recording and was plug and play in Windows 7. Blue is about to come out with a shock mount as well. The microphone is _huge_, which might be a turn off for some, but it's been great so far. The Universal Wind Screen that blue makes doesn't fit the Yeti without mods, but those interested in picking up a windscreen can grab the Large Microphone Windscreeen (Product 33-373) from ... for about $5 and it fits perfectly. 5 |

This far exceeded my expectations. Truly plug and play. Sound quality is terrific. The other day I had a meeting in a U-Shaped classroom with about 15 people. Brought in one person via videoconference through my laptop. We had the audio out from the laptop connected to the sound system in the room and was solely relying on the Blue Snowball as the mic. Using setting 3, the person videoconferencing in had no problem picking up all the conversation going on in the room. In fact, the next day we had a teleconference using the standard Polycom audioconferencing unit, and the Blue far surpassed that! 5 |

This is plug and play goodness. My son was podcasting within minutes. On a par with Blue Yeti but much smaller and portable. Mute button is easy to use and lite is note distracting. Very happy. 5 |
