I needed a high quality microphone for a surveillance installation, to record speech. I looked into this Crown unit because I have been very happy with other phantom-powered PZM microphones they offer. This one is great for voice band, it has line level output so no need for extra microphone preamplification, and it can be phantom powered. Even 12 V power from a camera system will work nicely. AC or DC does not matter for this unit, neither does power polarity due to the built in rectification stage. One less mistake to make. Great mike. 5 |

These are great and work without need of a hub. I would suggest you view a couple YouTube videos on installation as it isnt that straightforward. They wire slightly different than a switch or outlet. You do not need to be an electrician, just research what your about to do. 5 |
