Zoom Camera For Desktop Computer

I built a desktop gaming computer about 10 years ago. Never had a camera connected to it. Throughout the pandemic, I've used my personal cell phone to do Zoom and Skype video calls. The small screen on the cell phone has made this challenging, especially for online cello lessons. The C920s mounted easily to my 22 monitor. I connected C920s directly to my USB port on the back of my desktop. I fired up the Zoom application and the audio and video worked perfectly without any setup or modifications. Can't complain at all.

I bought this because I wanted to use my desktop for Zoom meetings instead of my laptop, but my monitor doesn't have a camera. This small and inexpensive unit is the perfect solution for me. Good image, and well controlled lighting. I don't use the microphone, so I cannot comment of the quality of the audio. It does have a USB A connector, but my Mac mini has two of those, so no problem. If all you have is USB C, you might want to try something else.

It is a fun look, like a mini camera. The gooseneck mounting system works very well with a desktop computer, as you are looking directly into the camera instead of the camera looking down or up on you. The microphone picks up well. It automatically installed on the Mac computer.

Used with a D850 and a desktop computer to teather the camera to Darktable. Works great, no issues. Make sure you are using a real USB 3.0 port.

8GB SDRAM is much better than 4GB in my DELL desktop computer.
