Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. On the B&H 3D graphic, it says the ring on the lens is a zoom ring. Is this correct? If it is, does the zoom work with the digital zoom (on the a6500)?

A: Thats not correct, actually. The lens is fixed focal length - the ring is for manual focus.

Q: 2. The description mentions full color mixing but the sample photos appear to show all 12 elements with one color at a time. Can multiple colors be used simultaneously, e.g., 4x (Amber + red + green) or 6x (Amber + blue)?

A: Hi Bill, The color-mixing factor comes from each lens having all 6 LEDs in them but they are not pixel-controllable. So when you bring up amber, red, and green, the fixture will mix all of those colors from within the lenses but you will not see all three distinct colors separated. They will make a new color to emit from the fixture. The older style that you are thinking of is not manufactured as much any more, where each LED diode color has its distinct placement on the face of the fixture. Now, most fixtures are 4-in-1, 5-in-1, 6-in-1, etc. The whole fixture will color-mix.

Q: 3. Can it bokeh shots and is it good?

A: Hello. The Sony E 50mm f/1.8 is capable of producing photos with bokeh.

Q: 4. Can I use this Len with Sony a6500..? Thanks

A: Yes, you can use it. I have this lens and the a6500. Both work perfectly fine together.

Q: 5. Can you purchase barn doors for these fixtures?

A: No.

Q: 6. Does anyone know if these run at a refresh of 50hz? All of our other lights run at 50hz locked, and most lights I find are at 60hz. This creates a problem with our camera shutter speeds, because either one of the other causes a flicker on camera.

A: ***Please send this to our Pro Audio DJ dept. ******

Q: 7. Hi,Does anyone know what is the Wavelength of the UV light emitted in nm?

A: Hi Walter, The UV in the LB Par Hex is 394-400nm

Q: 8. The specs state: 12x 15 W 6-in-1 RGBAW+UV LEDs. So 12X 15Watt = 180 Watts. At 180 Watts I would indeed by a few of these lights however Power Consumption states 42 watts! This indicates about 20% of the stated light output. Are these lights in fact 42 Watts or 180 Watts? If they are 180 Watts, the power consumption should be about 185-190 Watt total. Thanks for any help!

A: Each LED emitter is capable of generating six types of light (hence the 6-in-1 designation). However, each emitter does not do so at the same time. For example, if set to emit only UV light, it will not also emit red, blue, white, amber, or green light. Now, each 6-in-1 emitter is really and truly six emitters in one. The draw for each of those six is a lot less than 15W. However, the standard practice in electronics is to list each six-in-one emitter according to the total that its six subcomponents can create, not the amount they would create on any one setting.

Q: 9. I am using SONY ILCE-QX1 will this lens sports my camera or please suggest Which lens should I purchase ??

A: This lens is certainly compatible with your camera and there are many other focal lengths you can use. It just depends on what type of subject matter you are shooting. If you are shooting landscape then a wide angle lens and for portraits the 50mm would be good. You can click on the link below to view your options; https://bhpho.to/31a7t4T

Q: 10. Can each of the lighting instruments' color be controlled independently? How about brightness?

A: No, the color of the Eliminator Lighting Mini Par Bar Portable Par Can Lighting System's lights can be set independently, as color changes apply to the entire fixture. The Eliminator Lighting Mini Par Bar Portable Par Can Lighting System has a light range of around 25 feet, after which the intensity will fall off.

Bought a lens so naturally I bought a filter. The Canon was actually cheaper than some of the generic brands.

Great price. Worth protecting my $600 lens. No need for a fancy uv filter. This one works just fine.

Bought the product more for protection of my lens than the function of the UV protection, but it does both well. If you're looking for a UV filter for a Canon lens I suggest buying a Canon product from B&H.

B&W are expensive. I ordered the Canon filter to save a little money know that B&H would take it back if I wasn't happy. I did some tests shots with and without the filter on my Canon 15-85...indoors in low light and outdoors in high light and it doesn't seem to reduce sharpness at all. The effect on UV isn't very noticeable but most people, like myself, want this to protect the front element's glass.

I buy a UV filter at the same time I buy a new lens. Won't use the lens until I can get a UV for it. My 300mm just took a crash, the UV was in splinters, it's ring bent, the 300 hasn't a scratch. UV filters also catch all of the dirt, grit and scratches an unprotected lens would catch over time. Good, cheap, simple, effective protection, don't leave home without them and always have one in your wallet.
