$449.85 $598.30

This 2-stop, 6.6 x 8.5" Hard-Edge Graduated ND Filter from FotodioX is designed for use with the WonderPana 66 and FreeArc filter holder systems. The filter helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a hard-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and this filter provides up to a 2-stop reduction in light from entering a lens. This filter is made of durable, CR39 optical resin and measures 4mm thick. A carrying pouch is also included with the filter.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit over a 67 mm B&W ND filter on my lens or do I need to remove the ND filter first. Also, will a 67mm lens cap fit on this Syrp ND filter?

A: If your existing filter has 67mm front filter threads, you can attach a Syrp 67mm Variable Neutral Density Filter to it. It isn't recommended to use more than one ND filter at a time, however. You can attach a 67mm lens cap to this filter.

Q: 2. How is the image quality of this filter glass in comparison to LEE filter glass?

A: The image quality of the FotodioX 186mm Slim ND 3.0 Filter (10-Stop) is neutral, and will not get in the way of the sharpness or colorization of the lens it is mounted to. The Lee filters are not available in a circular 186mm.

Q: 3. Does this filter have a hard stop at both ends or does it continuously turn?

A: Continuously turn

Q: 4. What size Push-On lens cap do I need for this filter? The frame of the filter seems to be larger than 82mm

A: If you are planning on keeping the step ring on while you shooting yes you will have to buy an 82mm cap

Q: 5. Does this filter come in a metal case similar to the 150mm Lee filters?

A: The NiSi Explorer Collection 150x170mm Nano IR Medium Graduated 3-Stop ND Filter only comes with a soft case.

Q: 6. has anyone out there used this on the nikor 14-24mm and how did they find it worked?

A: The Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 does not have filter threads, and this filter will not be compatible with that lens.

Q: 7. Can you stack this filters?

A: I stack the filter with the Fotoiox Polorizer on my Nikkoe 14-24 f 2.8 with no issues.

Q: 8. does this work for the tokina 16-28mm pro system?

A: This filter will not work with a Tokina 16-28mm pro. We do have special filter holders for that lens. https://bhpho.to/2WkRXmt

Q: 9. Can anyone confirmed which version this is? B&H photos show the stop indicators on the side as being lines, but reviews show the indicators being actual numbers.

A: that is an older photo, yes it has numbers.

Q: 10. Hi, do you know if I could couple this filter on the Freewell quick swap system? I have the Freewell magnetic filter kit but they discontinued their revers grad filter.

A: Although both systems are magnetic, they have not been tested with one another to our knowledge. Your results may vary.

Excellent filter but really big. But then I knew that would be the case when I ordered it.

The system is great but not necessarily easy to carry. There is no vignetting with this system, but it is big and that makes it challenging to carry in most camera bags. I think it - and the .6 and .9 (as well as the circular polarizer) to be well worth the investment to get the most out of a terrific lens. They come in extraodinarily high quality padded protective bags that are better constructed than the best camera bags.
