Q: 1. Does the mount allow you to tilt the tray at all?

A: The 5/8" light stand adapter included with the Matthews Digital Imaging Technician Tray Kit does not allow the tray to tilt; however, the tray has a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole that can be used to mount the tray to a tripod or stand that will allow the tray to tilt.

Q: 2. Will a 17 laptop fit securely upon the top? Mine is exactly 16 1/2 wide and just want to make sure it will fit in between retaining edges. Thank you.

A: That size laptop wil fit but, you will have a hard time plugging in your power cord and any flash drives due to the edges that secure the laptop in place. Other than that this stand is awesome. Sturdy and durable.

Q: 3. Can you take the platform apart for storage and transport?

A: I think you can take it apart, but it does fold up flat and pretty compact so it is easy to transport. I believe the flat portion on the top where the laptop sits does come off if you want it to, but I don't really think it's necessary. It's a fantastic stand that is well built and durable. Q: 4. Will this hold a laptop securely enough to allow grabbing the stand with one hand, and keeping it reasonably level move the stand with laptop to a new location?

A: Yes you should be able to do that, provided that you do it very carefully.

Q: 5. Is there are lip on all four sides? How does it hold anything when it is tilted? Would this work to hold a book at a angle ?

A: There is a lip that occupies all four corners and 3 complete sides.

Q: 6. Is there space on this tray for an external hard drive? Will Matthews release accessories to mount a hard drive onto this tray? Thanks!

A: Not at this time.

Q: 7. Any chance there's a way to carry a tripod on this as well? Thanks!

Q: 8. How much room does the office divider set allow? Will a 25x25cm panel fit inside the padded office set?

A: Yes, a 25cm panel will fit.

Q: 9. I like the hight depth and width of the OR 10&14. I had the bag in the past (both bags) and the handle on bth broke right off. have they solved that issue. If not I wont buy the bag again?

The Pelican 1440 case is the reliably strong, relatively light and rolls easy; you can add external locks too. With several thousands dollars of the equipment in it, it is the best case available. The pick/pluck foam works great. Do not hesitate to buy one/you will not be disappointed. 5

These Pelican 1444's are really great cases. Used daily @ over 50lbs gross. Strong and light. Dividers adjust easily, but stay put with the Velcro. Handle extends to a normal length so you don't have to bend over to wheel it around. Also use it like a hand truck, loading piles of stuff on top. Up curbs, over rough terrain, just like a 4x4. Like the reduced footprint. Everyone at the shop got one, after the first two came in. 5

Great product. Using it as side panniers on motorcycle and also as a travel suitcase. Cut the foam to accept 8 bottles of wine for safe transport on airplane check-in.... 5

I use this Case to keep my 2-Light Litepanel 1x1 LS BiColor Kit. I am able to fit 2 Lite Panels, 4 Gold Mount Batteries, Adapter Plates, Power Cords, Gels, Battery Chargers. The only thing I can't keep inside is light stands. The dividers are very well padded to protect the lights and accessories. The case is hard and waterproof. It has wheels and telescoping handle. Very easy to roll. When you have to carry it, it can feel heavy, but I guess that's the trade-off for the compact size and hard-case as opposed to the other cases available that are soft-cases or larger hard-cases. I know the divider was made of office stuff, but it was just a moment of inspiration and creativity that I was able to imagine it as a light-kit case which worked fantastically. The B&H salesman who helped me make the decision was so great. He took the time to put a couple of B&H litepanels into the case to show me that with a little creativity, it was in-fact possible. 5
