Q: 1. Can I use it with a mount to connect my Sony a7Rii?

A: Yes, it would be possible to connect that camera to this telescope. However, this telescope is not a great choice to use a 3 thousand dollar camera with. But technically, yes, you could connect this using item 93625 and you would also need a Sony T-Ring. Celestron only offers T-Rings for Canon and Nikon currently.

Q: 2. What adapter would I need to get for a Sony A7riii (full frame)?

A: You will need the following adapters: T-Minus Ring for Sony E Mount (NEX/A7/A9/QX/VG Series) and a Celestron Universal Barlow and T-Adapter: https://www.celestron.com/products/universal-barlow-and-t-adapter-125in

Q: 3. What planets, Moons, nebulas , and galaxies can you see with this telescope. ?

A: A 70mm telescope will showcase most of the Planets. The Moon will be the best view, with all the Major Craters. Depending on conditions, Mars will be able to showcase its poles, & larger areas. The rest of the Planets will all be mostly a white color. Jupiter will be a yellow spot, & Neptune a blue dot. Depending on conditions, Saturn rings may be seen. Pluto wont be seen. Stars availble will be, Polaris,Vega,Antares & Proxima Centauri. Depending on conditions, Orion’s Nebula may show some color.

A: The AstroMaster 130EQ has a spherical mirror. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 6. I have a nikon D750, what accessories would i need to connect this to my camera?

A: You need a T-connector mount and a Nikon compatible T-connector ring. I bought both through B&H. The camera needs to be put in Manual mode. The Newtonian reflector needs a focusing Lens of some type. This can be accomplished using the 10mm lens inserted into the T-connector. Some fellow put detailed step by step instructions on the Amazon website how to do this. I suggest that you Google the phrase Celestron Astromaster 130mm EQ will not focus with Nikon camera and you should get to this procedure. I followed it and it works.

Q: 7. Can a dslr be used with this telescope to photograph the moon.

A: The Celestron AstroMaster LT 70AZ Telescope and be adapted to a DSLR using this barlow https://bhpho.to/4ccdNgb and a t-mount adapter such as this one for a Canon DSLR: https://bhpho.to/40ZMsIZ. However, due to the weight of a DSLR the LT-70AZ is not really recommend. Using a smartphone plus this smartphone adapter would be better: https://bhpho.to/3bqiPIf

Q: 8. What kind of a tripod do you use?

A: A suitable tripod is included.

Q: 9. Hello, I just bought this telescope, and I would like to use it with my Nikon D800. What accessories do I need?

A: Hello Gregor, You will need a 1.25" Universal Barlow and T-Adapter item #: 93640 and a T-Ring for Nikon Camera, item #: 93402. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

I looked at all the specifications on each of the sun filters and this one is a tiny bit big but fits on the Ultima 80 spotting scope. The screws do tighten it down fine. Looking forward to the eclipse!

This filler fit my telescope perfectly. Even though I ordered later than I should have, the filter arrived on time to view the eclipse. B&H always had what I need. The Celestron AstroMaster and accessories that I purchased are awesome! This solar filter was priced right and I was able to get some great pics through the telescope with my cell phone. Thanks B&H!
