Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this weather sealed?

A: Unfortunately, the FotodioX Mamiya RB/RZ67 Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter is not weather-sealed.

Q: 2. Hi, does this adapter fit on the sony A7r?thanks

A: The FotodioX Mamiya 645 Lens to Sony NEX is compatible with the a7R, yes.

Q: 3. May I know is the Tripod mount removable for this adapter?

A: The tripod foot on the FotodioX Mamiya 645 Lens to Fujifilm G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter cannot be removed.

Q: 4. Hi Can i use this adapter with my Mamiya rz 75mm tilt&shift lens?

A: The FotodioX Mamiya RB/RZ67 Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter is compatible with the Mamiya SEKOR SHIFT Z 75mm f/4.5 Lens.

Q: 5. Using this adapter on the GFX and mating a Mamiya 645 35mm N lens, what would be the net focal length of this combination ? Would the net result be similar to a 21mm lens on a 35mm body?

A: No, it won't be nearly that wide. On the GFX 35mm should give you a 28mm field of view (if we are talking full frame equivalence)

Q: 6. What is the closest focus i can get with the focus magnification? For example, 110 f2.8 or other rz lenses

A: The FotodioX Mamiya RB/RZ67 Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter will not change the minimum focusing distance or the magnification of the lens. The adapter will just take the space that the mirror in the Mamiya camera would have.

Q: 7. Is there a correction factor for effective focal length. Does (for example) a 105 mm lens still have a 105 viewing angle? Thanks

A: The adapter itself does not change the lens. But in general a RZ/RB lens, has a factor attaching it to a Full frame or APS-C DSLR camera.Full frame DSLR with a RZ/RB lens is 2.1 times factor and than if you use it on an APS-C sensor it is another approximately 1.5 times factor.Example: 80mm RZ lens, 80 x 2.1 = 168mm lens for full frame DSLR. And for APS-C, 168 x 1.5 = 252mm lens.

Q: 8. is this mount for mamiya sekor c lenses ?

A: This adapter is for Mamiya Sekor lenses with a 645 mount.

Q: 9. What is the focus helix?

A: Lenses for the RZ67 focus using the bellows on the camera. For that reason the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Mamiya RZ67 Lens to Pentax K Mount Camera has a focusing helicoid that enables smooth, controlled manual focus operation with a ring on the adapter.

Q: 10. What is the coverage of RZ67 Lenses on the GFX 100s? (This is a pass-through adapter instead of a speed booster?)

A: RZ67 has a 0.5x crop to full frame while GFX100S is 0.79x crop to full frame. By using that lens on the GFX100s you will gain magnification in telephoto but lose in wide angle. FotodioX Mamiya RB/RZ67 Lens to FUJIFILM G-Mount Camera Pro Lens Mount Adapter is a pass through adapter. There is no lens in the adapter, it is not a speedbooster.

This little $ dollar adapter allowed me to get out my old vintage Mamiya lens' and use them on my Sony a7r. I have no autofocus with this adapter but the a7r has great features to overcome that. It's well made and simple to use. even has a base for mounting the tripod on to it. Glad I found it.

Good fit. Allows use of my Mamiya 645 zooms center sweet spot on a Sony full frame. I already used it as a manual lens, so having only aperture priority exposure is fine. Prompt shipping, too.

Great adapter! Using it to fit a Mamiya 500mm f5.6 to a SONY A6000. No issues affixing to the camera or lens. Smooth workload for adapting all your Mamiya/Sekor c m645 lenses.

I'm a lifetime RZ67 shooter, I shoot digital more and more but at the end of the day thats the one camera I'd go down with if I had to choose. I bought this on a whim thinking it might not work great. I was confused as to how to cock the adapter (with the flange ring that attaches to the back of the RZ lens, with RZ lens set to T mode) and thought I was stuck using all the lenses wide open. Once I figured that out I was really excited. Lenses look great, not too sharp like more expensive digital glass is. Using this is my way of avoiding paying $2k or more for a GFX long/portrait/macro and I'm happier I think in general. Will be great to travel with my RZ kit and GFX50R in the same bag sharing lenses. the 180mm RZ67 soft focus lens looks incredible on here. The focus on the adapter works pretty well, larger lenses start to create a very large lens footprint coming off the front of a comparatively small camera, so support it well, don't dangle it from your camera strap and I think this will have a long life. One drawback is that infinity seems just ever so slightly out of range with some RZ lenses, not enough to be unusable but maybe enough to drive you nuts. I'll be fine using my 63mm for that.

The quality is good with a solid metal construction. I use it with my Sony A7S, almost entirely for video and after some tests I feel the Mamiya glass is as sharp, if not sharper than my Canon L glass. I am thrilled that I am able to use some really good primes now. Its works perfectly. Zero complaints.

I've always wanted a digital back for all my RB lenses and dreamed one day something could do that. I never really thought about my 50r as a digital back but that is essentially what it is with this adapter.

Yeah I know I don't get the full perspective of the lens since the lens is designed for a bigger film plane than the Fuji MF sensor but the KL RB lenses I have are super sharp and give me that DOF that I love on my RB67. Focusing is precise to the point you really need a tripod as hand held will only work well with infinity focus. In fact you can over focus infinity so it's sometimes hard to nail focus near or far without failing it in.

I've even tried the 360mm f6.3 with great resultIts. It's not as sharp as some of my other lenses but that is a lens characteristic and not the adapters fault. My favorite results so far come from the 90mm KL lens which is about as sharp as the G lenses.

The shutter ring is easy to release and is my only complaint as sometimes a lite touch will close it. You'll have to twist it back if it gets knocked during composition. This usually happens to me when focusing as the focus and shutter rings are close together on the adapter. I wish they made a lock or a bit firmer pop into place so it doesn't close so easily. Not a big deal to me just something worth mentioning.

Bought this to use my medium format Mamiya 645n lenses in the digital era. Wanted a camera with built in image stabilization as it really provides 2 stops of extra usable shutter speed. Hence the Pentax camera. The adapter does a really good job. It is smooth to install both on the body and on the lens. So far I have been concentrating on my 85 mm f1.9 lens. The results are very good with a creamy Mamiya look to them. The internal light meter works with the lenses, in manual mode, and I have had good success with the required manual focusing, utilizing the cameras built in focus confirmation. So with the conversion factor on this lens I have a 130 mm f1.9 lens with vibration reduction, focus confirmation, and beautiful images in lower light that separate from their background. The cameras flash is also usable as a manual flash and works in a pinch in Scientific mode ie trial & error. This is a great piece of gear and size wise the lenses look good on the camera.
