Enjoy a fresh take on the traditional aesthetic of the classical nylon string guitar with the Cordoba Protégé C1 Matiz, a model with a classic blue finish, which produces the projection and warmth associated with a classical nylon guitar. The instrument features a spruce top and mahogany back and sides. The maple headplate, bridge, and full-scale fretboard provide a striking look with a lively tonal response.

A satin polyurethane finish provides a layer of protection against nicks and scratches, while the ghost rosette, designed after a traditional wood rosette, allows the eye-catching colored tops to shine through and take center stage. A color-matched gig bag made from recycled nylon is included.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I swap out the clamp with a different clamp if i want?

A: You can remove the clamp from the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube cp Geared Head with ClickPan and Arca Classic Quick Release and use a different clamp, but it is a DIY process. There isn't an off the shelf clamp that says it is compatible. The exact screw that you would need is unknown and not disclosed by the manufacturer. You would have to try different screw sizes depending on the clamp. Unfortunately, there isn't an off the shelf screw and clamp that we can link to you and say that it is 100% compatible.

Q: 2. why is this model more expensive? what's the difference with the other ones? Is there a geared panning version with the flip-lock system? Thanks!

A: This one is more expensive because it is designed more beefy to have a higher payload. The one with the flip-lick system is BH #ARC1CQ.

Q: 3. What is the difference between 2.2lb and 2.4lb and what are the advantages and disadvantages?

A: The difference between the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with Arca Classic Quick Release with GP (Geared Panning) and the Arca-Swiss C1 Cube Geared Head with Arca Classic Quick Release is that the GP version allows for both manual movement and geared movement if you wish to for a very precise rotation. There are no disadvantages to using the GP version over the classic, however the classic version is also a great option if you do not need a micrometric rotation.

Q: 4. I'm looking for a protective cover for the C1 that I can use while the head is still on the tripod. Any suggestions?
