A: Like the others have said, no top padding. Mine just arrived yesterday from B&H. I got it for the Canon XC15. Lots of room and I can safely put it in the case with the MA-400 Microphone Adapter attached, which is what I was wanting to do. To protect my camera, I think I might take the PB-B9 Stuff Sack that is included with the case and put soft padding material in it and put that on top of my camera when it is in the case. It fits perfectly to protect it. I'll just buy the (3) pack of BP-B9 Stuff Sacks B&H has listed, since they are handy to have for small items.Great Case though. A real quality piece that should last for many years.

A: I use it with my Ursa Mini Pro, and I believe the 4.6K mini should have the same dimensions. The bag is semi-snug on the sides if you have the side handle on, but nothing concerning. I also have enough space for two V-Mount batteries in addition to the camera body with a short lens attached plus the storage of the top and two small side pockets as well. Not bad for minimal setups, bigger bags could get really heavy fast, so this is a nice size in my opinion.

That being said, with the Porta Brace Cargo Case Camera Edition you should be able to carry a disassembled FS7 and probably the batteries and lens without issue. You might also consider the Porta Brace RIG-FS7XT Camera Case and Interior Kit for Sony PXW-FS7 Camera. It is specifically designed with the FS7 in mind.
