Q: 3. Can the input form the amplifier be over 100 watt, e.g. 300 watts? So as long as the output is 100 watts on each channel?

A: As long as you are only sending the Pyle Pro PSS4 4 High Power Speaker Selector a maximum of 100W to the left and right amplifier inputs, it will be fine. Make sure you can set a maximum output wattage on your amplifier's outputs beforehand.

A: I spoke with the folks at Pyle Pro and they said that this is a protection circuit that protects the speakers if there is a sure in power. You probably want to keep it engaged all the time, and I'm not sure why protection is selectable, but that is what Pyle chose to do.

Q: 6. Does this receiver have a 1/4 X 20 socket for mounting on a tripod, etc?

A: Unfortunately, this receiver does not have a 1/4-20 socket on the bottom. It can only attach with a cold shoe attachment or onto to the hot shoe of a camera.

Q: 7. Is this unit HDCP compliant? I'd love to have it in line with a TV to display a security camera on the TV when the doorbell is rung

A: We do not recommend using the Audioengine HD4 Bluetooth Speaker System in conjunction with the Pyle Pro PSS4 4 High Power Speaker Selector, as the HD4 are active and the Pyle is meant to pass power and audio to passive speakers.
