Use it on my Sigma DP2 Merrill. Impressive quality (never thought I could be impressed with a rubber lens hood!), but somehow feels as solidly made as their fabulous filters. Fits perfectly and holds the standard Sigma lens cap much better than the lens itself. Already served its purpose: accidental banging agains all kind of solid objects was absorbed with no damage to the camera, lens or even the lens hood. I also think it gives me a bit less haze in a bright sunny day, but need to do more shooting to confirm this.

This hood is made withg reat durability, and is cheap /compacttoo! No complaints. I use this with a 50mm lens primarily, but be warned that you'll need something else for the wide-angle lenses. I get some pretty severe vignetting just looking through the viewfinder

All a hood needs to do is block extraneous light hitting your lens, reducing contrast, yais? Well the rubber ones do, just as well as plastic, aluminum, or brass and fold up nicely as well. This B + W model is very well made, and is perfect on my Olympus 35SP. Any fixed-lens rangefinder aficion with a 40-something mm lens out to consider one of these; can’t be beat for price, convenience, or functionality.
