A: It is made up of 6 pieces that simply slip over the lens. I don't use the piece that covers the lens when fully extended as you can't zoom out with it on. Since I don't often use those features it's of little concern to me.I also cut the clear plastic out of the section that covers the IS and AF switches so they are easier to access.Overall, it's a decent product. Take a while to move your bag from somewhere warm or wet, to somewhere cool or dry, so that the sudden shock does not develop fog or moisture inside the lens from the sudden change in temperature or humidity.
