Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Why doesn't it work if Canon CR-N500 and N300 it has RS422 physical outputs and this controller is compatible with those outputs?

A: NO this will not work with any of the canon products

Q: 2. dose the controller support the SUNKWANG SK-P ptz protocol?

A: I am sorry but we are not familiar with SUNKWANG SK-P. Feel free to email us directly at provideo@bhphoto.com, we will do our best to assist you from there.

Q: 3. This controller work with Canon CR-N500 and CR-N300 ?

A: No it can not.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Sony PMW-FS7?

A: This will not work with the Sony FS7. Instead we have the Sony RM-30BP Wired Remote Controller which is compatible with the Sony FS7, BH #SORM30BP. https://bhpho.to/33m7su3

Q: 5. can connect to a switch instead of a router ?

A: Unfortunately, with the nature of this product's workflow, either the Datavideo PTZ or motorized heads connect to a router to operate over a network or to the controller itself over ethernet. Switching between video feeds is done through a dedicated switcher. Page 8 within the manual shows this. https://bit.ly/3A6q16G

Q: 6. Can you replace the battery in it ?

A: The battery is not replaceable. The instruction sheet that comes packed with the remote states that.

Q: 7. How would this function with a 32x32 or 64x64 router? Is there a bank select style switch?

A: My controller only controls 16. If you need to control 32 or 64 you must buy a controller with the same amount of buttons. This basically controls a box that is located elsewhere. You put the controller in a convenient spot and the box is somewhere else. There is a cable between them. The controller has the buttons and the actual box has the BNC's connected to it. You just buy a controller that has the 64 or 32 buttons that you need.

Q: 8. Hi, i'd love answers to four questions. Is this an infra red remote control? Does it come with the ir receiver if it is? Is it rs 485? Can it open the on screen menu for a camera?

A: This is a IR remote control. That actually is a picture of our remote that comes with our Lecture Capture LC102 device. Although it will control our PTZ cameras, we have a PTZ remote control that will have more functionality including opening camera controls. I'm going to assume that B&H simply imported the wrong image to go with the description. It doesn't come with a receiver. Not sure of the RS 485 question. Let me know of any other questions. Q: 9. Can this be connected to a VISLINK RF camera system that is using a SONY PXW-Z750?

A: The Sony RCP-1530 Slim Remote Control Panel (Joystick) would not be compatible with a VISLINK RF system. The Control would need to be connect to a compatible CCU to control the Sony PXW-Z750.

Q: 10. What is the small switch on the back of the remote used for?

A: The switch on the back of the Canon RC-6 is for the delay function, which can be set for either 2 or 10 seconds.
