I use this with a Wimberley WH-200 & a Canon 600mm f/4 II USM. It's easy to adjust and to install quickly. Getting the bubble level in the middle can be a bit of a challenge. If you don't have it adjusted properly it will slide with a quick stop. It beats hand holding keeps down the vibrations I don't need to turn on stabilization which results in better photos. A NatGeo photographer was using one of these and was why I originally picked this one. Love it 5

VERY Stable and secure . I modified slightly. I wanted the platform to be on the outside of car when using my 600mm lens. Not as flexible as beanbag option BUT I wanted the stability and piece of mind 5

Excellent car door support. My guess is it works better when mounted outside but due to wind I wasn't risking it and mounted it inside, it just limited my complete movement with my telephoto and flash bracket. Overall though a big improvement to bean bags, etc. 5

Purchased this item to use with a Canon 5D3 and EF 600 F4 IS combo for bird photography. No regrets at all. Easy set up on the door of my Honda CRV. Learning curve for where to place and what height to set is easy. I use a gimbal head also and have had no issues. Mounting has been on the inside of the door. With the weight of this combo, I am a bit hesitant to try mounting to the outside of the door. for fear of creating e dent in the metal. 5

Used the eckla on a birding trip it supports my Nikon 600mm f4 perfectly with the gimbal head. Performed sturdy as tripod. It was on the inside of the window of my jeep it was a little tight but could ride down the road with the window shut. I plan to mainly use in the truck where I will have more room. I would recommend this product. 5

this is exactly what I was looking for, it fits on my car door perfectly, with my Gimbal head on fell just like the tripod, one thing I like the most is I can drive with camera and 500mm lens attached and roll up the window to avoid dust get on your lens when you ready to take a shot all you need to do is open the car window, it's way better than sand bag. 5
