The 86mm Blue IR/NDVI Pro Lens Filter from Kolari Vision works with full spectrum cameras to transmit both blue and IR, making it ideal for NDVI crop analysis applications. It allows an NDVI to be generated from a single image using the blue and red channels of the image. This filter is also useful for landscape photography, as it produces a similar effect to a 590nm IR filter after a channel swap, right out of the camera. This pro version of the filter features multicoated glass and a slim, knurled brass ring.

A full spectrum modification is required to be made to your camera. This entails manually removing the camera's low-pass filter and replacing it with a clear filter. Once that's done, this filter will work as intended. (Kolari Vision can make the modification for you at a cost if you send in your camera to them.)

Q: 1. Will the filter cups for this flash fit a Godox TT600?

Q: 3. Does this filter have to be used with a full spectrum camera?

A: While it may be possible to use the Kolari Vision Pro Gen 3 Infrared Lens Filter (930nm) on an unconverted camera using a long exposure, it is not advised. Q: 9. Can you record while charging?

A: Yes. The Minolta MN4K40NV UHD 4K IR Night Vision Camcorder can provide continuous power via USB cable/ AC adapter while recording.

Q: 10. Why is this not available in filter size 46mm when all other Kolari Vision lens filters are?

A: Kolari Vision does not list the reason, but checking the Kolari Vision IR Chrome Lens Filter does not come in 46mm size. You can get a larger size and use a step up ring. Like this filter, https://bhpho.to/3HlbjMQ and one of these step up rings, https://bhpho.to/3OdE1Uu.

If you debating between this filter and the B+W, here are your considerations. Zeiss filter is double the cost. It is optically comparable to the B+W; I did not perform tests; I don't know whether it is optically better than B+W but it is definitely not worse. The mount is machined aluminum but screws on/off the lens much smoother than a typical B+W brass mount -- likely because of the high precision machining. The Zeiss mount has a wider brim (about 1mm) than the B+W and I question whether it could have an effect on vignetting on non-Zeiss lenses. Of course, if you have a Zeiss lens then it won't be an issue. After all this filter was designed by Zeiss for Zeiss lenses. I have found the B+W MRC coating to be superior in hardness and ease of cleaning. My Zeiss filter suffered an easy accidental scratch by my lens cap; and fingerprints were noticeably harder to wipe clean without special lens cleaning solution. My B+W filter did not have such issues. If you have a Zeiss lens, buy the Zeiss filter and be content knowing that you have given your lens the best you possibly could. If you are considering a filter for non-Zeiss lenses, save your money and purchase the German built B+W MRC or XS-Pro Nano, knowing that you have also offered the best optics for your lens. But don't buy the nano for your Zeiss lens because the mount will prevent you from attaching the lens hood. You can't really go wrong with either brand. I have been happy with both brands. Good luck and have fun with your lens.

This is a well-made glass filter. I purchased this to protect a macro lens because getting very close to your subject sometimes endangers the front lens element. I'd much rather replace a filter than a lens, so the filter is a must for me. The filter is high-quality and does exactly what it is supposed to do - protect my lens without altering my picture.

Zeiss quality. Perfectly flat glass and sturdy mount. It is not a low profile filter. It makes no sense to buy an excellent lens and then not buy the best, or one off the best, filters available.

i use this primarily as lens protection. i spent time walking through the woods and dont always remember to put the lens cap back on so primarily this is solid protection from damaging my lens. it fits well and has good clear glass - has not interfered with any shots at all.

Previously had a very good B+W filter on my Distagon 35/2 and was happy. Couldn't help but buy this one to replace it. Seems to be even better, in terms of contrast, but I might be convincing myself of this due to the expensive purchase.

Even if it is little bit expensive than others, it is worth it for high quality lens especially zeiss lenses. I am fully satisfied with it. durable and clear.

I use this filter on a Sony NXCAM avchd camcorder to provide protection for the front of the installed G lens as well as to provode filtering for excessive UV for outdoors shots on cloudless days. The filter is very well constructed and came on a very sturdy case. It provides perfect optical clarity and tone to all outdoors video shooting. There are no aspects of this filter that detract from either its appearance or functionality

If you own the Zeiss lens then you must get this filter. Why settle for less now that you have sprung for the lens? Lens cap fits just as well on the filter as it does the lens without a filter. Great optical quality.
