It took a bit of tweaking (enabling low power mode really does improve the battery life and keeps the laptop cool), but now that I've done so I can often get a day or two of using the laptop without any need to think about battery life. Keyboard and trackpad are great, performance is quite smooth for essential tasks. I think the odds are quite high that this can take care of my standard tasks for the next 5+ years.

very happy.. coming from a 10year old high end purpose built computer this thing runs circles around that one. This M2 16G RAM and 512 SSD. Running Parallels w/Win11 ARM is very fast also. The apps I needed for windows all seem to run without issues even though pretty old. One is EFI Live and I really wondered about that.
I would like an USB A port, (old style) as I hate the extra port adaptor hanging off the side. I just have too many external drives and sticks to buy all new USB C at this time.
That said, this M2 really rocks.
Dealing with B&H also very good... would recommend them.

Love it. It's my 4th Mac laptop, replacing my 10 year old 16" pro with this little one for cutie for lighter travel. I like it has real F keys. Midnight color is super, looks like an almost black navy. The black Intel MacBook from 2008ish was so cool at the time, this is way nicer!

So glad I got this laptop.
