I own the Z 6 II and the 24-70 F4 lens. I also own the Z50 and BOTH of the kit lens for that. And a LOT of other Nikon cameras. The Z fc and the 16-50 Silver lens is an awesome combo. I bought it as I used the Z50 and both kit lens so much I decided I'd use the Z50 with the 50-250 and the Z fc with the excellent 16-50. I now use that combo MOST of the time. It won't do LONG shots as well as the D500 or the D7500 with the 200-500 F5.6 but for all other shots it is incredibly capable. I attach a photo of it taken with my Z50 and 50-250 lens.

I bought this for work to record short videos and take a few other random photos. It works wonderfully.

My Zfc was bought as a simple, extra camera to use for day-to-day scenery and family photo opportunities but it is capable of so much more. The operations are most simple and the results certainly exceed expectations. The weight of the camera and simplicity of controls make it a very easy to live with companion for walks in the park, visits to the beach and other general operations. The testing I have done indicates that the capabilities easily exceed my expectations! It could easily be the go-to camera for most of my current applications. Job well done, Nikon!

Nikon has nailed it! Very easy to handle, light to make this my everyday camera for anything. Walked around with this camera thru the city with no issues, very comfortable. Glad I bought it!

I've been shooting with my Z fc for over a week. So far I have been so happy to shoot fully manually that I haven't gotten around to the auto modes. It is like an advanced digital version of shooting with my old Canon AT1 from my youth. Great files. I have the short zoom kit and also the 50-250 lens.
This camera is going to feed my photography habit for a very long time. It has so much going for it and so much to explore. My previous digital experience was with a Nikon D700 which gave me great files. But I felt exposed in public with it. The Z fc takes care of that' as it is a great size: not too big and not too small.

I started using Nikons in the 70's and went on to 4x5's and resisted digital cameras as long as possible. I tried a few recommendations but my old school thinking was my down fall until my daughter introduced me to the ZFC. It's an easy camera for the old die hard to use. Set it to manual and I've never been happier.

Camera is easy too use , light weight and takes great pictures .

I am a very beginner in photography and my photographer recommends me to purchase this camera. I am not a professional one so my review could be very superficial and might be judged by professional photographers. But this would probably help someone who starts their photography path with this camera, especially someone who just know a little about camera like me. My current level is limited to ISO and shutter only. I was first impressed by its vintage look and I immediately fell in love with it as it could be a really beautiful decoration in my house even if I don't use it. It's small and not heavy. Just one hand can hold it tight without shaking. It could be put into my coat pocket as well. Personally, I would prefer something tiny and light because that's one of the motivations for me to use it. Otherwise, I might just take my cell phone out and this camera would be a waste. Another I love about is the lock of ISO and shutter button when I am in manual mode. My hands are big and usually it is super easy to mistouch the buttons when I take pictures and the overall setting is ruined. But the lock solves the problem. The screen could be flipped over for protection purpose (for example, dust). This camera also equips with a 28mm f/2.8 lens when I purchased it and it solves another problem for me as I have no idea what kind of lens I should choose. I love the manual filters and different focuses setting as well. Overall is great so far when I take pictures. I think I will continue using it until I reach higher level in photography. I will recommend it to fresh and total beginners.

I've had a lot of high-end Canon film cameras in days gone by. I was never much for digital even after trying out a Canon SX10 more than a decade ago. Been using phone cameras ever since.


After searching through the new digital cameras from Canon, nothing really stood out. I switched to a Nikon search and this beauty came up.


I love it. Old school meets new school. It has everything on it an analog camera has except the film winder arm and exposure counter. If I want to delve into the menus, that's there too. Most shooting is done with the analog controls and it is very intuitive to use for someone that loves film cameras.


If you miss the old days, don't miss this camera.


The included bag is above and beyond anything I expected as a freebie. This is a well made, heavy duty bag that includes Velcro compartment panels to arrange as you please for your equipment. More pockets than you'll know what to do with too.

I am using it more than the full frame camera. It's smaller, lighter, access to buttons and dials is easier and the basic functions are similar to a full frame mirror less camera. Taking a selfie is also easier. And the results are amazing.
