Utilizing the cinematic VISION Film technology, this film also exhibits a fine grain structure with very high sharpness and edge detail. A micro-structure optimized T-GRAIN emulsion makes it especially well-suited for scanning applications, and advanced development accelerators offer extended versatility when enlarging. This film has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° and is particularly well-suited to portrait and wedding photography, as well as nature, travel, and outdoor shooting with moving subjects, or when the lighting cannot be controlled.

I use this in my Mamiya C3, and I get what I pay for. Don't let the price scare you, it's cheaper here than most photo stores. Worth getting if you really want the most out of your medium format cameras. Color quality can't be matched by much else in my opinion, at least when it comes to skin tones, and will suit the needs of almost every photographer.

Great film. Perfect shipping and handling by B&H. Wish the foil wrapper had a better way of tearing it open.

The new Portra is versatile, sharp, and really everything you could want in an 8x10 color film. I shoot portraits outdoors on heavy overcast days so the fast film speed is essential, and everything from skintone to landscape is dead on. Highly recommended!

I'm currently using this for portraits with strobes (I'm too poor for studio flash). It's wonderful to have colour film with speed (ISO400)in the 4x5 format.

This film is absolutely flawless. Color accuracy, richness of color, depth of image, and amazing quality film. The best color film on the market is the Kodak Portra series, nothing compares. The 120 is of a good weight, easy to reel and use, and has endless benefits. I highly recommend it!
