System installers in search of a compact, flexible amplifier with Hi-Z and Lo-Z capabilities should check out the Lab.Gruppen E 12:2, a 1 RU, two-channel 1200W amplifier for mixed A/V installation applications. The E 12:2 utilizes IntelliDrive Energy Efficient Amplifier (IDEEA) technology to produce high power levels with very low distortion while drawing minimal mains current.

E-Series amplifiers also utilizes Lab.Gruppen's proprietary Rail Sensing Limiter (RSL) technology, which greatly reduces signal clipping to ensure high-quality audio output all the time. The amplifier is user-configurable for Hi-Z (70V) or Lo-Z. The RSL circuit senses rail voltage and optimizes each channel output for instantaneous load conditions. This allows for asymmetrical channel loading for optimized performance and efficiency. Total available output power can be allocated among the channels as required by the application. This makes it possible, for example, to drive a small sub on one channel and several 70V ceiling loudspeakers on the second channel.

Two-Channel Amplifier: 2 x 600W    IntelliDrive: 70V or 2, 4, 8, 16 Ohms    Energy-Efficient Class-D Amplifier    Asymmetric Channel Loading    Comprehensive Circuit Protection    Rail Sense Limiter (RSL)    Includes Screw Terminal I/O Blocks    Includes Power Cord    Limited 5-Year Warranty

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this lens (MFR #2096-550) compatible with Nikon D7000? The compatibility list shows D7100 and D7200 so I assume it is, but wanted to be sure.

A: Yes. Due to its manual-only design, this will work with most Nikon DSLRs. :)

Q: 2. Can you let me know which way around the focus rotates on the Otus? Same as the regular Nikon lenses or the same way as the Canon version. Thanks

A: The Nikon F version rotates the same way as Nikon lenses (i.e. the scale reads from infinity on the left to MFD on the right) and the Canon EF version rotates the same way as Canon lenses (i.e. the scale reads from MFD on the left to infinity on the right).

Q: 3. Is there chromatic aberration with this lens? I have it on my zeiss 28mm

A: The CA characteristics of the Milvus 1.4/50 are improved over the Classic Planar 1.4/50 and can be further controlled via profile corrections in software tools, such as the defringe feature in Adobe Lightroom.

Q: 4. will the Blackmagic 6K Pro control the electronic aperture?

A: Yes, ZEISS Milvus 21mm f/2.8 ZE Lens for Canon EF has the electronic contacts on thelens mount which would allow Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (Canon EF) to control aperture and other electronic feature on the lens. The focus is the only manual operation that you can not control through the camera.

Q: 5. Can ZEISS Milvus 21mm f/2.8 ZF.2 mount on a D850 without adapter?

A: Yes, the Nikon D850 uses a F-mount. The Milvus lineup also uses the F-mount. So you will not need an adapter to use this lens on the D850.

Q: 6. Does this lens have internal focusing? I would be using it with a matte box and would like to keep the option of filters open.

A: The ZEISS Milvus 1.4/25 features internal focusing and there is no front telescoping of the barrel while focusing.

Q: 7. Hello Can i control the volume of each zone or set of speakers separately Can i send different music to different zones Thanks

A: To control the volume of each zone, you need to have a separate volume control unit connected to each zone. You can selectively turn on and off zones from the amplifier but you cannot create different mixes for each zone.

Q: 8. Does this lens have hard stops?

A: Yes the lens does have hard stops and you can use the aperture ring manually if you so choose; however, there is also an option to de-click the aperture ring using a tiny tool that is included with the lens. It is very simple to do. So if you are shooting video or you just prefer to not have hard stops than you can use the lens this way. If you prefer hard stops it can do that too! Best of both worlds

Q: 9. Can I Use this lens with Sony A7models with an special adapter ?

A: The best adapter is this one to use the ZEISS Otus 28mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF on a A7 series camera, https://bhpho.to/46wH423. Note the mfr does not list that lens specific but should be find.

Q: 10. How does this Milvus 21mm compare to the Contax Zeiss 21mm? Trying to decide if I want to buy the Milvus or buy the Contax Zeiss 21mm.

A: Other than the focal length similarity, both lenses are nearly the same size and weight, with a minimum focus distance of 3' (0.9 m). The depth of field scale and aperture setting can only be read from the front of the Biogon lens. Both lenses render beautifully, while the Biogon lens seems to have higher contrast, and the Contax has somewhat better resolution, and less contrast. The results with either lens are outstanding and mostly matter of personal choice.
