Designed to be used with various MakerBot METHOD X 3D printers, this extruder allows you to use RapidRinse and SR-30 filaments which dissolves easily, making this ideal for advanced users working with ABS and ASA materials.

The extruder itself utilizes smart sensors to manage material management while offering greater torque with a 19:1 dural-drive gear ratio. Heat-up time is increased with a lengthened thermal core, allowing you to create your prints quicker. Easily swap this extruder for another while retaining printing stability with a quick-release locking mechanism. You also get a one-year expected lifetime usage that is estimated at 1500 hours of printing, giving you a long-lasting lifespan.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this fit an F5 or F55? And if so does it lock into the standard Sony QR plate? Also, how comfortable is the pad?

A: This item is NOT for the F5/55. For your camera you will require the Movcam 303-1908. The pad is a soft foam to add comfort and is curved to fit anatomically to the slope of an operators shoulder. Very similar to the pads found on the bottom of Sony shoulder mount cameras. The plate snaps into a VCT14/U14 SONY plate the same as a normal shoulder mount camera that uses the VCT.

Q: 2. are those mounting plates on the back? can you mount things like the ronin 4d?

A: The Tilta Float Shoulder Support (BH #TIGSST01SS) doesn't include mounting plates. You're likely seeing the back mounting plates on the Tilta Float Dual-Handle Gimbal Support System (BH #TIGSST03). The Shoulder Support is designed to be used in conjunction with the full Float Support System.

Q: 3. Can I use a Manfrotto quick-release plate on the base of this?

A: We use the Manfrotto 501PL plate on this one all the time without any problems.

Q: 4. Will this work with the new V2 Kirk collar for 200-500mm?

A: It must be used with this lens collar https://bhpho.to/2MBvIUm.

Q: 5. Can I get the metal chains with the black poles instead of the silver poles?

A: Unfortunately that combination is not available as a kit.

Q: 6. will this fit the Makerbot Z18?

A: No it will not. The compatible extruder for a Makerbot Z18 will be, B&H # MAMP07376.

Q: 7. will the thumb grip for the Leica M10 be compatible with the M11?

A: Yes.

Q: 8. What is the maximum load capacity?

A: The maximum load capacity of the Platypod Extreme is 22lbs.

Q: 9. What is the material? Stainless Steel ?

A: I double checked they are made of aluminum. Still, very sturdy and stable.

Q: 10. Can I buy just one pole?

A: Unfortunately, Impact does not sell the Impact Deluxe Varipole Support System - Black (Pair) as a single autopole unit; it is only sold in pairs. If you need a single autopole, a similar option from another manufacturer would be the Manfrotto Deluxe Autopole 2 (Black, 6.8-12.1'), B&H # MA43237B. https://bhpho.to/3VFoiRN

This support is a lifesaver! There are clamps and other devices that you can use to hold your backgrounds; but you run the risk of them wearing down the material the backdrops are made of over time. I use Lastolite metal-framed backgrounds for my work; and the magnet on this support is more than strong enough to hold my 5' by 7' backgrounds easily!
