Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can an a7RII with RRS plate fit into this bag? I do have other Sony lenses but fitting a Sony a7 body with RRS plate is my main concern.

A: Hi--an A7R II with an RRS plate will fit in this bag.

Q: 2. Hi,will a Canon t6i + Tamron 100-400mm Lens attached fit? Lens dimensions are the same as a 70-200mm f2.8. Has someone tried it?

A: No, the Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Heather Gray) is too small for the T6i with the Tamron 100-400 attached.

Q: 3. Will the iPad Pro fit in this?

A: Yes, it will fit. The iPad Pro dimensions are 12W x 8.7H x .3D, and the Cooper 13 rear sleeve is 13W x 9H x 1D.

Q: 4. Is it comfortable carrying camera & lens weight without a waistband?

A: I've used the backpack for a whole week in Iceland, it was packed with Canon 80D, 24-70 F2.8, 70-200 F2.8, Mavic Pro + 3 x Batteries, 430 ex Flash Gorilla Pod and Gopro + 3 small Acc's. Yeah all of that fit in it. It was very heavy and I didn't use or feel the need to use the chest strap or the waist strap for that matter. It was fine. the longest hike was 5 km's on mainly flat rocky surface.

Q: 5. Can it hold a 16" Macbook Pro?

A: The laptop compartment for this bag is 9.8" x 0.6" x 15.7"

Q: 6. Can this bag's main compartment fit a Macbook Pro Retina 15 ? I know at face value the interior dimensions are 34x24cm and the Macbook is 36x25cm but I also know some bags can hold just a bit more by stretching or in this case if the bag shape is flattened slightly. A related question is also whether the interior dimensions are referring to the camera insert or the bag itself. I wouldn't use this bag exclusively for carrying that laptop but would be nice to know if it can hold it on the rare occasion.

A: I would say no. I have a 14 inch Lenovo that fits in the space of a 13.5 macbook pro and it just stretches the bag to the point where it just seems too bulky for a bag this size.

Q: 7. It looks like this bag has a handle strap. Can you carry this bag using that strap while the bag is closed? Thanks --

A: There are two straps. One for hand carry and one for your shoulder. Be aware though the hand carry strap is a bit on the loose side compared to their DNA series and can be detached as well if not needed.

Q: 8. How to access the side pocket if it is a backpack? A backpack needs two front straps, there is no way to have a quick side access unless at least one strap is taken off. I love the comfort of backpack because it distributes the weight evenly but I also like the sling type bag for fast access. Is this the combo of both worlds?

A: Just like others have stated, you have to slip one strap off in order to slide the pack around to the front.

Q: 9. Hi, will this fit the following? x2 Sony A7iii's (one with 28mm, other with 85mm f1.8 mounted), sony 55mm, x2 godox v350s + batteries? Thanks!

A: This kit would be too big for the Cooper 13 Slim. But it should fit in the new Cooper 15 Slim, or if you need a bit more space to move gear in and out of the bag, then the regular Cooper 15 would work as well.

Q: 10. How do a DSLR full-frame kit w/ attached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens fit? How well does it fit sideways and/or vertical? Any pictures?

A: The Lowepro FreeLine Backpack 350 AW (Heather Gray) will accept a full frame DSLR and 70-200 2.8 attached. It won't fit sideways. You will need to place it vertically. You will need to bend two of the dividers to place it vertically. Unfortunately, we do not have a photo showing that.
