The magnetic adapter screws onto a lens, and the mist filter attaches to it magnetically. The magnetic adapter can be kept on the lens to quickly and easily swap in other filters, and it also accepts 77mm lens caps.

A: There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.
