The Camplex Duplex ST Single-Mode Fiber Optic Tactical Snake Reel comes in a 1000' reel, and is a ruggedized multichannel fiber optic cable designed for multiple field production deployments in outside broadcast, rental houses, and more. It is a highly flexible, tight-buffered tactical cable with internal aramid strength members for crush resistance in high-traffic areas (if handled properly), with a polyurethane outer sheath designed to withstand crushing by both military tanks and broadcast vehicles. All assemblies are multi-stage machine polished and tested for <0.55 dB RL, with test results for each channel supplied with the cable.

This fiber optic tactical snake cable includes the Schill cable reel with connector protection cavity and hinged latching door. The Schill reel has been carefully selected to ensure the proper support and critical bend radius required by fiber optic cables.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone carried this on an airplane flight? It seems like the perfect travel tripod but I worry about the spikes with TSA.

A: I won't think it would be a problem, but if you had to, you could check it at the gate. Make sure you have it in a nice padded bag.

Q: 2. What would be more useful for low level macro shots, this or the platypus Max. Using Fuji XT-2 and 80mm Macro lens?

A: The Platypus would be a better fit if you are primarily doing low level macro, easy set up, etc..

Q: 3. will this work with the peak design dual plate?

A: Yes, this tripod is compatible with the peak design plates.

Q: 4. i just received my Transformer i hooked it up with it in 220 volts and it is only putting out 116 volts am i doing something wrong ?

A: Please make sure your input and output voltages are selected appropriately. If that is the case, and the unit is still putting out an undesired voltage, we would recommend reaching out to Sevenstar at info@sevenstar.com.

Q: 6. Can this tripod handle an RB67 with a 140mm macro lens?

A: The Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod can support the weight of the Mamiya RB67 with a 140mm macro lens (e.g. the Mamiya Z 140mm f/4.5 Z Macro). However, due to the weight distribution of the system, you may need to use a larger quick-release plate and position the tripod's legs wider—rather than taller/narrower—to lower its center of gravity.

Q: 7. Do they have wifi speakers?

A: These speakers are wired and require a receiver.

Q: 8. Is the ball head removable?

A: Yes it is

Q: 9. Is the center column removable?

A: Yes.

Q: 10. Is there any way to remove the spikes from the feet? I am a little worried about traveling with it as a carry-on.

A: Removing the spikes are not possible. However, they are very well hidden away under the rubber feet which are not easily removed by design. Thus the feet will never fall off by mistake.

This tripod offers a very steady DSLR platform when used in close to the ground situations. The lack of a sliding center column allows for easier use for this purpose than comparable tripods made by Slik or Gitzo. (I use both brand's larger tripods) Its light weight is a plus when trekking up in the mountains to remote locations. It comes with a precise machined Arca Swiss style clamp, which is another plus, as all my cameras and tripods are already set up with that system.
