The Camplex 4-Channel LC Single-Mode Fiber Tactical Snake comes in a reel of 1000'. It is a ruggedized multichannel fiber optic cable designed for multiple field production deployments in outside broadcast, rental houses, and more. It is a highly flexible, tight-buffered tactical cable with internal aramid strength members for crush resistance in high-traffic areas (if handled properly), and a polyurethane outer sheath designed to withstand crushing by both military tanks and outside broadcast vehicles. All assemblies are multi-stage machine-polished and tested for <0.55 dB RL, with test results for each channel supplied with each cable.

The tactical fiber snake comes in a Schill fiber optic cable reel with connector protection cavity and a hinged latching door. The Schill reel has been carefully selected to ensure proper support and critical bend radius required by fiber optic cables.

I was looking for a small, portable tripod to take to an upcoming Disney trip. I wanted something that would easily fit in a small backpack, yet rugged and sturdy enough to support my Canon Mirrorless with a couple of different lenses. This had the weight supportable I wanted (11 lbs), is light (about 1 lb), and extensible (not not overly so, so I felt it would be sturdy through its range of heights). I was NOT disappointed!

As I hoped, the tripod is VERY stable. I tested it with my Mirrorless camera and my heaviest/bulkiest lens (Canon 100-500, and heavier than my walkaround lense) and found that it could hold it in place without any issue at all. (I recommend aligning the tripod so that one of the legs is directly under the lens or camera body). I also set it up with my everyday lens (Canon 24-105) and an even lighter Canon 50mm and, obviously, it works splendidly.

My only negative comment (if you consider it one) is that the smartphone adapter doesn't add any value to the package--at least for my needs. My iphone 12, with it's Otter box case, doesn't fit within the range of opening the adapter (landscape). The only solution is to remove the case, which is not something I see myself doing with any regularity. Obviously, even with the case removed, the phone wouldn't fit in portrait orientation.

That notwithstanding, I'm very happy with my choice and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to add a strong, lightweight, versatile tripod to their bag.

I had a cheap plastic SONY tripod that broke after a number of years. Plastic fatigue. Tragic. You know, you don't even see the warning signs. Then, life, everything, changes so suddenly. It can come from out of nowhere. You know? That thin white like that cracks through your tripod like it cracks through your very heart!?

I never wanted to experience that feeling again. But I also didn't want to spend over 100 bucks on a desktop tripod I was going to use for streaming.

But I know, cheap is expensive. And I was not going to put myself through that SONY experience again! Life is TOO SHORT! TOOPRECIOUS!

This is a sturdy metal design and will probably be something my children's children inherit from me. Maybe man himself will gaze upon this tripod years after the blood of my family has run thin in the veins of man, and marvel at it.

Metal housing and plate. Metal screws, and twisty metal tripod legs with tasteful rubber feat.

This tripod brings me joy. And is currently holding my GH5 with 12mm Leica Lens. That lens is expensive and rare, but I trust this tripod with it.

And one day I hope to trust a human with my heart as much as I do this tripod.

I want to buy another one just to have for fun shoots. I don't think it's practical though. But then again, I am a romantic and will probably buy another one. It also has a bubble leveler, that isn't in the greatest spot to serve a purpose, but - hey! Nobody's perfect.
