A: I'm not familiar with that particular tripod but I will tell you that the tripod pocket on the side of this backpack is the one disappointment that I have with the one I purchased. The side pocket is made of very lightweight material that will not withstand much in the way of wear. My travel tripod will not fit in the pocket but I have carried a collapsed monopod. A: Yes there is pockets on both side. I don't know the sport BP but can tell you that the trek has plenty enough space. I was very please with how much I could fit. The top compartment is ideal for food, shirt, glass and all item of a certain size. It's big as a medium lunch box. You also have space where you fit the tablet. It's a SL but deep zone. Both have also zipped pocket

A: I can barely fit in my ipad2 when loaded with gear. (MK IV - 70-200, 28-70, 50mm, batteries etc) The bag is not very flexible (which is good for protection) so outward expansion is minimal. I can rig the bag up to carry my MacBook when traveling but its very tight.

A: It should! I put a 5D mark IV with a 35mm lens AND Really Right Stuff L-Bracket attached and it is just a hair big but fits. The 80D and 70D is about 1/2" shorter and slimmer than the 5D mark IV so it shouldn't have a problem.
