This Broncolor Softbox is a 3.9 x 1' light modifier that creates an even, diffuse light. This type of soft light is useful in product and portrait photography. The amount of diffusion can be adjusted via a removable baffle and front panel. Also, it is able to accept grids and other light modification accessories.

Included with this softbox are four rods for constructing and attaching the box to a light via an optional speedring. Also, it comes with the interior baffle, a front diffuser panel, and a transport bag for storage.

Q: 10. Do you have access to the area in front of the lamp through the back of the softbox to add a gel for example or only access through the front of the softbox?

A: It is very small to reach in from the back of the Broncolor Softbox (3.9 x 1'). Best is to add gels and such from the front by pulling the front diffuser off.

Very soft light, well diffused and great quality material! This puppy is HUGE, but exactly what I wanted for full length portraiture and such. Don't forget to purchase a separate speed-ring, if you don't already have a spare. 5

Super large very uniform source allowing for wrap-around soft light at close range. Well constructed and easy to assemble. I'm using it with Profoto Pro heads (flat front lights fit but Acute and Pro heads with protruding flash tubes spread the light better). The 4 supporting rods pull apart and fold in half like tent polls with bungee cords. The case is ~ 48 long but if needed you can get the collapsed reflector and folded polls in a 24-25 suitcase. Removing the rods from the speed ring is not obvious and was a struggle at first. The best way to disassemble the rods from the speed ring is to lay the box on a soft surface - speed ring down - reach into the open face of the box and push down on opposing rods near the speed ring to flatten them. Once the rods are straight at the edge of the speed ring they pull out easily and disassembly is as quick as assembly. Highly recommended! 5
