I have had numerous hubs but wasn't really lucky. Some did cause a crash of my MacbookPro at each shutdown, some didn't let it boot correctly when attached to external devices (which is ... its own purpose) I found this HyperDrive to be the only one working smoothly and as expected. I tried it in different configurations, attached to each of my 4 USB-C ports. Zero problems. I can vouch for it! 5

Over the years, it seems I have always had more peripherals than ports on my laptops. I tried several different brands and have generally been disappointed in their performance. Either they were very slow or more often failed to perform at all. This Hyperdrv PWR USB-C Hub works great. From the minute I plugged in my three external hard drives into one USB-C port on my new MacBook Pro, the connections were solid. I can easily access any of the drive or transfer data from one to another with little delay. I am very pleased with this product and can strongly recommend it to anyone considering a new hub. 5
