Steinberg Dorico Elements 4 is a streamlined personal music-notation software that helps you write music notation, automatically produce high-quality printed results, and play back your music with natural-sounding realism using the included 30 VST instruments and effect processors. It enables you to compose and arrange for ensembles of up to 12 players, and it is fully compatible with Dorico Pro 4.
With a simple user interface that is quick to master, Dorico Elements 4 is the perfect entry-level notation software for composers, arrangers, and students. Fast keyboard access to every feature provides fluid input and editing, while the software intelligently adjusts notation as you write. You can also manipulate MIDI events directly in the built-in piano-roll editor.
When the time comes to take your project to the next stage, export MIDI to Cubase or other DAWs via MusicXML. When printing, you can export press-ready PDFs with a single click.
Dorico Element 4 uses Steinberg's identity-based license management system. Users must sign in to Dorico using their Steinberg ID. Software licensed using online activation can be activated on three computers for the personal nonsimultaneous use of the person associated with the Steinberg ID. Neither the Soft-eLicenser nor the USB-eLicenser can be used with Dorico 4.

Key Editor in Write mode: With the introduction of a dedicated Key Editor in the lower zone in Write mode, it's now easier than ever to shape the MIDI performance of your music notation.
Smart MIDI import: Powerful new MIDI import workflow intelligently interprets incoming tracks and remembers your choices for future imports.
On-screen keyboard, fretboard, and drum pads: Click or tap notes into the score from the piano, input guitar tab directly by touching the string and fret on the fretboard or see all of the percussion instruments in your kit at a glance with the drum pads.
Polyphonic MIDI transcription: Whether you're using the new smart MIDI import workflow or recording music in real time from your MIDI keyboard, Dorico 4 now automatically separates the music you play into separate voices, producing a much cleaner transcription of your input than ever before.
Insert mode scope: Change the scope of Insert mode operations: Edit only the current voice, edit all voices on the current instrument, or edit all instruments in the flow, making it easier than ever to create cadenzas or free rhythm sections.
Melodic and rhythmic transformations: Common melodic and rhythmic transformations such as rotation, inversion, and reversal are now all just one click away.
Revamped Play mode and Mixer: Choose between showing the essential controls in the lower zone or showing the Mixer as a separate window, for full control over channel EQ, insert effects, and more.
Native Apple Silicon support: Dorico 4 runs natively on Apple's M1-powered Macs. Some editing operations are as much as twice as fast on Apple Silicon than on in Intel-powered Macs.
Jump bar: Quickly access all of Dorico's commands from your computer keyboard. Just type J, then a few letters of the command you want to execute, and hit Return. The jump bar also makes it easy to navigate anywhere in your project, jumping instantly to any page, bar, or rehearsal mark of your choosing.
Instrument filters in galley view: You can now focus in on the instruments you're interested in simply by selecting them and hiding all of the others.
SuperVision: A fully customizable, multimeter audio analyzer plug-in is now included with Dorico 4.
Capos for fretted instruments: Dorico 4 allows you to define a full or partial capo for a fretted instrument and produces transposed notation, chord symbols, and chord diagrams accordingly.
Easily show optional or alternate chord symbols by enclosing them in parentheses.
Automatic score order and soloists: When adding players and instruments to your project, Dorico automatically orders them according to the conventional orchestral score order, so you can rest assured your instruments will be in the order the conductor will expect when perusing your score.
User-defined project templates and ensembles: To quickly add multiple instruments to your project, the revamped Ensemble Picker allows you to use standard orchestral shorthand for woodwind and brass, or you can type standard abbreviations for instruments. Once you've set up your project exactly the way you want it, save it as a project template for future use; it will then appear in the Hub alongside Dorico's built-in project templates.
Bracketing for figured bass: Building on the comprehensive support for figured bass introduced in Dorico 3.5, Dorico 4 adds a sophisticated set of tools for adding square brackets and parentheses to figured bass, allowing you to bracket individual figures or even accidentals independently, or enclose multiple figures at different rhythmic positions within a single set of brackets.
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. How do I mount the camera in the E-702 elements cover?
A: Undo the long line of velcro. Place your camera into the clear plastic area lens first. Guide your lens through the tube. Their is another velcro which you will fasten around your lens. Fasten the long line of velcro to seal your camera inside. Your hands go in on each side to access the camera. It can be awkward with your camera strap as it will project out through the line of velcro. I imagine if you are set on a tripod you can remove the strap to make everything well sealed. I hope this helps.
Q: 2. When i connect to computer . The light indicator of the usb shows me on/off,on/off ... . Not stable. What is the reason?
A: Not all USB cables are the same. You might try several brands or styles before you find one that works consistently. In general, I find that USB C to USB micro or mini cables tend to not work, or worse, work for a while then lock up with a SoundDesign MixPre 10. According to their tech, USB cables need pull-up resistors to work properly. Maybe true for Steinberg I/O too.
Q: 3. Will this cover works with tripod ?
A: Yes it will. Velcro on the bottom.
Q: 4. Does this include a charger that it can automatically dock to, or do you need to manually change the batteries?
A: The DJI RoboMaster S1 Educational Robot's intelligent battery needs to be removed from the robot and plugged into a charger to be charged, so the charging process is manual.
Q: 5. can you please provide some specs? size? weight?
A: This is a brand new listed item. Please check back soon, as our team will be updating it with the specs and more information.
Q: 6. Can the stiff hood be taken off?
A: No, its permanently attached.
Q: 7. Can the Steinberg UR22mkII function as a standalone mic preamp?
A: Unfortunately not, this device is an audio interface, it does not works without a computer connection.
Q: 8. Are there separate buses for the headphone outs, or are they shared with the line outs?
A: The Steinberg UR44C 6x4 USB Gen 3.1 Audio Interface's headphone outputs are independent of its line outputs.
Q: 9. Will this standard E-702 PL cover (without the accessory extender) properly protect my 100-400L lens with my 60D body? do the rain drops on the clear plastic make shooting frustrating?
A: Yes, the 100-400 is about the same length as the 70-200mm f/2.8L Canon lens, so you will be able to use the E-702 PL Cover without the extender. The cover is easy to use.
Q: 10. Will a medium format camera (phase) fit inside?
A: Yes, the Manfrotto E-702 PL Elements Cover will fit a medium format camera. (phase)
