The Camplex 12-Channel LC Single-Mode Fiber Tactical Snake comes in a reel of 1000'. It is a ruggedized multi-channel fiber optic cable designed for multiple deployments for field production in outside broadcast, rental houses, and more. It is a highly flexible tight-buffered tactical cable with internal aramid strength members for crush resistance in high-traffic areas (if handled properly) and a polyurethane outer sheath designed to withstand crushing by both military tanks and outside broadcast vehicles. All assemblies are multi-stage machine polished and tested for <0.55 dB RL with test results for each channel supplied with each cable.

The Tactical Fiber Snake Reel includes Schill fiber optic cable reels with connector protection cavity and hinged latching door. The Schill reel has been carefully selected to ensure proper support and critical bend radius required by fiber optic cables.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the weight without the head and without the center column?

A: According to the manufacturer, the weight of the Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod without the head and the center column is 10.25 oz (290.58 g).

Q: 2. This question is specifically for the “Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod and Xuma Smartphone Mount Kit”. Does this combo kit include all the components usually provided in the stand-a-lone “Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop” e.g. the center post attachment and storage pouch, etc?

A: It does come with everything the stand alone Oben CTT-1000 tripod normally has like the center post, plates, screws and hex keys. However, neither the stand alone tripod or this kit come with a tripod pouch.

Q: 3. Has anyone carried this on an airplane flight? It seems like the perfect travel tripod but I worry about the spikes with TSA.

A: I won't think it would be a problem, but if you had to, you could check it at the gate. Make sure you have it in a nice padded bag.

Q: 4. Can this tripod handle an RB67 with a 140mm macro lens?

A: The Oben CTT-1000 Carbon Fiber Tabletop Tripod can support the weight of the Mamiya RB67 with a 140mm macro lens (e.g. the Mamiya Z 140mm f/4.5 Z Macro). However, due to the weight distribution of the system, you may need to use a larger quick-release plate and position the tripod's legs wider—rather than taller/narrower—to lower its center of gravity.

Q: 5. Is the complete tripod (with ball head and height extender) under 1 lb? Or is this listed weight just the main legs?

A: The entire unit weights .98lbs.

Q: 6. What would be more useful for low level macro shots, this or the platypus Max. Using Fuji XT-2 and 80mm Macro lens?

A: The Platypus would be a better fit if you are primarily doing low level macro, easy set up, etc..

Q: 7. Does this tripod fit in the Oben TB-05 bag? Well, tight, or too loose?

A: Yes, it fits in the TB-05 bag well.

Q: 8. Is there any kind of hook on this so you can attach it to a backpack or bag?

A: I'm sorry but there isn't a hook or clip to attach to a bag but you can get an extra quick release plate and a tripod hanger that will allow you to attach it to your bag. Click on the links below to view; https://bhpho.to/2F7qOcu https://bhpho.to/39CDxCi

Q: 9. Is the ball head removable?

A: Yes it is

Q: 10. will this work with the peak design dual plate?

A: Yes, this tripod is compatible with the peak design plates.

This tripod is the perfect travel companion where space and weight are a factor. My Nikon D850 and zoom lens works easily with this tripod.

I use this when I am carrying minimal equipment and need a sturdy tripod. I have used it effectively to take group shots indoors and outdoors. Doesn't replace a large tripod but the light weight good height adjustment (given that it is a tabletop tripod) does exactly what I need it to do. I haven't had any problem with it handling the weight of my camera, regardless of the lens.

Bought this to accompany a Kowa 501 I purchased for a short-mid range spotting scope setup for the range and packing along for hikes.

Well built, light, very packable, and exceeded my expectations.

I primarily use this tripod for load development work. I mount spotters for benchtop use and my Labradar for ballistics data research. It's the perfect size and weight for that use.

Did I really need another tripod? Sometimes my full size Manfrotto tripod is just too large (tall), and my Manfrotto Pixi is too short, or just not stable enough for a heavy camera. The CTT-1000 fills that gap nicely. It's very light, due to the carbon fiber legs. So, no issues about carrying another piece of equipment because of weight. It appears to me well made. I particularly like the sturdiness of the metal hinges. The bubble level is a bonus.

For a small selfie stick, off-camera flash, GoPro stand for action shot set-up, even medium-heavy set-ups from mirrorless or DSLR...this little guy can do it. Light but still heavy enough with the metal framing. Extension piece is a great little selfie stick itself. Ball head is small and adequate, even for mid-sized mirrorless/lens combos.

I would have been happy with this even if I would have paid twice as much. Very rarely am I pleased with design, engineering, and manufacturing of any product, but this is five stars on all three. If you want a light, small, packable tripod that is well built, this is it. I might go buy another Oben tripod in full size.

This little tripod is just what is needed when setting up a video cam location. It makes it real easy to vary position and height for the best camera angle. We love it. Now have three!

I always carry this with me in my Think Tank Shoulder bag and appreciate how smooth and secure everything works. I have two Manfrotto and two tabletop Oben tripods that have now been converted from Manfrotto mount to Arca Swiss mount.
