Along with audiophile-grade speaker terminals, the M10 V2 has two independent subwoofer jacks, whose output settings are adjustable from the BluOS app. In addition to providing high-quality stereo sound, the M10 V2 has Dolby Digital surround-sound decoding. Home theatre fans can configure a pair of BluOS surround-enabled wireless speakers or amplifiers to play the surround channels, while the M10 V2 handles the front channels, so that the M10 V2 serves as the hub of a 4.1 or 4.2 channel Dolby Digital surround setup. The M10 V2 transmits the rear channels wirelessly, with very low latency, so you don’t have to run wires around your room to connect the surround speakers.

There are many ways to operate the M10 V2. Use the BluOS app on a smartphone, tablet, or computer to cue up music from your favourite streaming service, or music stored on USB and network drives. Choose some songs from the Spotify or Tidal app on your computer or smart device, then shift playback to the M10 V2. Stream music to the M10 V2 from an iPhone, iPad, or iTunes library via AirPlay 2. Select music by voice using Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri, or Google Assistant voice protocol. The M10 V2 is Roon Ready, so you can stream music from a Roon Core server. The M10 V2 can be integrated into Apple, Control4, Crestron, Lutron, and other home automation systems, so you can control music playback along with other home systems like lighting, shades, HVAC, and security. Use the supplied remote control to adjust volume, skip tracks, and activate preset commands. Or choose tracks, select sources, and adjust volume and other settings from the M10 V2's full-color touchscreen. In addition, the M10 V2 can learn commands from your favorite IR remote control.

Based on the renowned nCore technology, the M10 V2's Hybrid Digital amplifier is conservatively rated at 100 watts per channel. It has Class-D architecture, but doesn't use a clock or sawtooth generator for modulation; rather it is a self-oscillating design using multiple nested feedback loops. A common problem with Class-D amps is that the output filter can interact with the speaker load altering frequency response, but the nCore is a load-invariant design that includes the output filter in the feedback loop, correcting the response to make it flatter. Its updated gain algorithms allow higher output levels with inefficient speakers. The subwoofer outputs also have higher gain, allowing for a wider range of subwoofer-main speaker combinations.

For the M10 V2, NAD Electronics has chosen the ESS Sabre 9028 DAC for its high precision and low noise. The 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC architecture offers state-of-the-art performance for high-res audio streams. The ESS 9028's programmable output filter makes it an ideal candidate for MQA fine tuning.

Dirac Live is a very sophisticated room correction system that measures the room using the supplied microphone and sends the data to the cloud where Dirac configures custom filters and then automatically loads them into the M10. Dirac manages the energy in the room, so that transients have amazing impact and destructive resonances are diminished. Imaging and clarity are intensified in a very natural way. This is a one-time setting and corrects the impulse (time response) of the system as well as smoothing frequency response in the bass region, up to 500 Hz. For more difficult rooms or systems using multiple subwoofers there will be optional enhancements that can be purchased by the customer directly from Dirac.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this considered a multi zone unit, but how can it be when there is only one output speaker?

A: This Amp is considered 3 inputs and one output. The 3 inputs are: One Microphone, second selectable Mic/Line, the third is a line level. The output is one you have the choice of using 4 Ohm, 25V, or 70V, on 25 and 70V you can use multiple speakers 70V rated in a daisy chain configuration, as long as you don't exceed the 35W limit of the Amp.

Q: 2. How to install this amp?

A: Here is some very useful and important information (taken from page 4 of the owner's manual) regarding the installation process of this amplifier.1) Install the equipment rack on a stable, hard floor. Fix it with anchor bolts or take other arrangements to prevent it from falling down. 2) When connecting the unit's power cord to an AC outlet, use the AC outlet with current capacity allowable to the unit.3) No rack-mounting screws are supplied with the unit. Separately prepare the appropriate screws for the rack.4) Keep the amplifier over 10 cm (3.94 ) away from objects that may obstruct airflow to prevent the unit's internal temperature rise.

Q: 3. Does this amp provide phantom power at 48V? I don't see it referenced in the manual.

A: The Toa Electronics BG-235 Amplifier & Mixer does not provide 48v phantom power.

Q: 4. Since this does not come with a power supply, what are the requirements and connector size for a usable power supply?

A: The FiiO K3 V2 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Black) BH #FIK3V2 uses a DC Input Power Adapter 5 VDC at 500 mA.

Q: 5. Can this be used as a digital signal converter usb c input to optical (or coax) output?

A: The FiiO K3 V2 Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier (Black) BH #FIK3V2 will not work as a digital signal converter from USB-C.

Q: 6. Where is this unit manufactured, as labeled on the unit? Please no opinions, just facts.

A: The Toa Electronics CA130 30W Mobile Mixer Amplifier with Microphone is manufactured in Indonesia.

Q: 7. Is there a magnetic phono input?

A: The FiiO R7 All-in-One Desktop Hi-Fi Streaming Player & Amplifier (Black) does not have a magnetic phono input. Here is a link to a page from Fiio that shows all of the inputs that are available on the Fiio R7. https://www.fiio.com/newsinfo/819618.html

Q: 8. Is the enclosure solid wood or metal clad with walnut covering?

A: The NAD Electronics C 3050 Integrated Amplifier with BluOS MDC2 features a wood grain vinyl wrap.

Q: 9. Is it really 240v/50hz compatible?

A: Yes, the FiiO R7 All-in-One Desktop Hi-Fi Streaming Player & Amplifier (Black) is 100 to 240 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz compatible.

Q: 10. How do you convert the controller for fiber use?

A: So you need to convert both the sdi signal and data signal to a fiber signal. I prefer using a Thor 1-Channel Mini HD-SDI Single-Mode Fiber Optic Extender Kit for each Marshall Camera, but that is just me. It mux’s both signals to one fiber and demux’s at the other end. Hope this helps. Good luck!
