Not just for jazzercise, these three photo black Gitzo Leg Warmers technically do nothing to retain heat in the tripod legs. Rather, the warmers insulate your hands from the warmth-absorbing tripod tubing when shooting in cold climates.

Additionally, this closed-cell foam tripod accessory acts as a cushioned buffer when hoisting a camera and tripod on your shoulder for extended periods, all while protecting the tubes from impact and scratches.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Material of construction is listed as 'steel'. What kind? Case-hardened, stainless, carbon, etc?

A: According to the manufacturer, our overview lists the 3 Legged Thing STILETTOZ as made of strong and durable milled stainless steel for longevity and greater stability on hard surfaces like concrete and gravel.

Q: 2. Will the RRS BH 55 work well on this. I have a RRS tripod but would like a lighter one for travel?

A: The BH55 is too large for this tripod, I would recommend the BH40 or smaller.

Q: 3. Is the max height with center col up ?

A: Yes. Maximum Working Height 60.2" / 153 cm Max Height without Center Column 51.18" / 130 cm

Q: 4. Is the center column removable?

A: Yes the center column on the Gitzo GIGT1545T Traveler Series 1 Carbon Fiber Tripod is removable and able to be used upside down if you so choose to.

Q: 5. Can the short/small center column be removed and inverted as well?

A: The Short Center column is not designed for that. It can not safely be used inverted.

Q: 6. Does I have a set screw on the head base?

A: There are two set screws in the top disc, which are there to keep the disc from unscrewing from the center column.

Q: 7. Is there a way to better secure the short column that comes with this tripod? The only thing securing it to the tripod is the collar lock, if that comes loose the column (and head) will simply slide out.

A: It won't as it has a stopper on the lower end. This mechanism (the lock) is pretty much the same as in the other systems and it works perfectly. Also, the central column has a gutter so it won't twist if the lock get loose.

Q: 8. What is the head base diameter of this tripod?

A: The head base diameter is 35mm. I am using this tripod with Sirui K-10X head for Sony A7r2 + upto 70-200/f4 lens and it works perfect.

Q: 9. Will a Manfrotto XPRO Magnesium Ball Head fit on the Gitzo GIGT1545T? And will the tripod fold up fully with the head attached? I like the RC2 plate system and would like to get a compatible ball head.

A: Yes, as the base mount features a 3/8"-16 Thread ball head will adapt with no problem.

Q: 10. is it possible to remove column for ground level set? Is there a hook that can be screwed into bottom of center column? I wonder how vibration dampening and leg locks compare to RRS TQC 14 which is what I am considering as an option. Gitzo column seems more stable though and GT 1545T is taller.

A: Christopher, I would not worry about what you think of the Tqc-14 and if its column is more secure than the Gitzo. Answer is that center columns are "certain kinds" of peeps. I will not go into that, but guys real about taking things seriously and making nice pics DO NOT do it on a center column.

Well made spikes that do a great job keeping my tripod well grounded.

Gitzo really should supply these as standard as it provides a comfortable tactile grip to the use and transport of the tripod. It also provides a measure of protection to the carbon fibre legs of the tripod should you drop it or bang it around. I have a similar set installed in an older series three systematic tripod which I have used for 16 years and they are still in good condition. (Been washed in a washing machine several times over the years!)

I shoot at the beach a lot, and these tripod spikes are the perfect accessory to provide a solid anchor into the sand or provide firm support on the rocks of tidepools. Their height is also just right in most cases to avoid sand and often times water from getting into the screw sections of the legs. I use these so often I keep them on my tripod as my primary feet. Highly recommended!

I dont know what some are talking about, These warmers are padded and work just fine...I do wish Gitzo wouldnt of plastered their name all over it, but its not too bad. Good quality construction and perfect fit.

These spikes are great for helping your tripod to dig in the sand or rough surfaces. Personally, I am a little hesitant to use them on something like a rock. They seem to really work well when you have your tripod low to the ground for those landscape shots that encompass the whole scene.

When you need to shoulder the burden, even when your carbon fiber tripod is not so burdensome, Gitzo's knee-high stockings will soften the weight of Tripod/Ballhead/Camera/Lens. Dare to have the best-dressed Tripod!

I shoot at the beach a lot, and these pointy feet are perfect for either digging into the sand and giving you a good anchor, or giving great support on the rocks in tidepools. Plus, they are just long enough you can usually avoid the screw section from even touching the sand, or in most cases even getting wet. I use these so often I keep them on as my primary feet.
