A: The Leica BP-SCL7 Lithium-Ion Battery (Black) is not compatible with the Leica TL2 camera; the battery for that camera is the BP-DC13.

A: Yes it should however we can not guarantee consistent results. Anton Bauer has firmware built into their batteries that talk to the chargers If you attempt to charge other batteries on the charger it may stop charging without warning. It is best to charge this battery via the included D-Tap charger.

I have been able to get away with one battery for my daily shooting, but I noticed that I was bending over backward to save the battery during the shoot, and it was getting in the way of my shooting process. So, this extra battery will free me up to do what I need to take pictures without thinking about conserving my battery for the day. So far, it's a great purchase to get the freedom I need for my shooting. 5

Great battery with relatively long life for the M11 series. I recommend though having at least two spares if you're traveling or photographing in cold weather (which drains batteries.) Better safe than sorry. Thanks B&H for the fabulous service and quick shipping, as always! 5

Having gone from a Q2M to an M11M, I’ve been delighted with this upgraded battery. I get many more shots from each charge, and I love the clever feature (shared with the Q) that prevents the battery from falling out of the camera body. 5

I suppose MAYBE you could use a 3rd party battery, but I've never really done so. On several outings, I've taken loads of photos, and the this battery has never failed or run short. Ridiculous price, though. 5
