The single RMU2080 On-Site 2-Way Business Radio from Motorola is designed to provide secure workplace communication in environments up to 250,000 square feet. It operates on 99 UHF frequencies for business use while featuring 219 PL/DPL codes, six of which are customizable. Its built-in 1500MW speaker is designed to provide enough output for use in noisy conditions, such as construction sites.

The RMU2080 includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery as well as a drop-in tray charger. A holster and power supply are also included.

A: Yes, the Motorola RMU2040 On-Site 2-Way Radio can be paired with the Motorola R2 Portable 2-Way Analog/Digital 4-Watt, 64 Channel, UHF Radio, however, the number of available channels will be limited.

Q: 4. Does this product come with the chargers?

A: Yes - each unit coms with an AC powered charger and charging base. Nice that the holster also fits into the base with the unit. Neat.

Q: 5. How many radios can be on one channel?

A: As many as you need.

Q: 6. What digital Mode does this radio transmit on. I do not mean the frequency hoping capability. Is Digital mode DMR or NXDN or P25?

A: According to Motorola's technical support, it is nether. Furthermore, there aren't any public whitepapers or specifications available on the DTR series to determine which digital radio standard (DMR, P25, dPMR, OpenSky, NXDN) is being employed. In my research, I did find one source that claimed it was a P25 radio, but Motorola said it was not. Conversely, if you are interested in a P25 radio, you can look at Motorola's APX portable radios.

Q: 7. Does it include charger and battery?

A: Thank you for your question. this unit will come with both the charger with wall wart and battery.

Q: 8. Will MURS Frequencies work / be license free in Canada?

A: At this time it seems MURS devices are not supported in Canada. The units may operate however these frequencies have not been deemed license free and may experience or cause interference.

Q: 9. Looking to get these for my security team. Are they compatible with remote speaker to mount it close to their ear?

A: The compatible product is the Motorola HKLN4606 Remote Speaker Microphone for Business Radios, BH #MOHKLN4606.

Q: 10. How long will a fully charged radio last before it dies?

A: The battery life for the Motorola RMU2040 would be up to 15 hours with battery save up to 12 hours without battery save.

The MB400 Midland radio is a great upgrade from the BR200. Our inspection company plans on buying a few more. The radio feels like it will stand up two years of abuse! Quit spending too much money on other brands because Midland has you covered! 5

The Motorola CLS - 1110 is a fine handheld radio. It has decent range and can be programmed so as not to interfere with other radio frequencies. More than the radio, however, I was totally sold on the customer service I got from B&H. It was as good as I could have imagined leaving no room to ask for more. Thanks- 5

Great radio. Ive gone through so many 2 ways for our office but they either break or just dont work after a week. These are powerful! Sound is awesome, design is awesome and quality is awesome. Im so happy we purchased them. Well worth the extra bucks (and when i bought them, they had a manufacture $100 rebate!!) 5

The CLS-1110 2-way radio by Motorola is small, lightweight and easily accessible for my assisted living staff. If only there was a way to eliminate the protruding antenna (can easily get in the way), this would be the world's most perfect unit! 5
