Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many exposures could I get with one roll of this film if I was using a Nikon FM-10?

A: This film is not compatible with 35mm cameras, but rather medium format. I suggest Kodak TX 135-36 Tri-X Pan Black & White Print Film, which will give you 36 exposures: http://bhpho.to/1m9bwkW

Q: 2. Does this film work for the kodamatic 960 instant camera?

A: No, this is 4x5 film for large format cameras, it is not instant film.

Q: 3. Would this film work with an Ansco Shur Shot? The inside of the camera says For best result use Ansco 120 film . Also would it work in bright sunlight? (Southern California)

A: Yes it will fit. Get Portra 160 for bright sunlight.

Q: 4. Can this film work on a champ kodamatic instant camera?

A: No this will not work with champ kodamatic instant camera

Q: 5. Is Kodak film still being produced, and by whom?

A: Kodak is still in business. This film is produced by Kodak.

Q: 6. Will this work in a Konica t3 and If so will I need different film for different lighting or will the 400 be okay in bright sun (Arizona)Thanks!

A: This film would be 120 format so it would not be compatible with your Konica T3 which accept 35mm format film. You could use ISO 400 film if you are shooting in various lighting conditions. However, if you're only shooting in bright sunlight most of the time, you would be better off with a film such as Kodak Professional Portra 160 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) B&H # KOP16036 which is best suited for those conditions. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 7. How many photos can I take with one film?

Q: 8. Can you use this film with a Kodak Junior Six-20? I was told 120 film can be used with it. And if so, how many exposures could I get per roll with this film using that camera? Thanks!

A: The Kodak Junior Six-20 unfortunately will not be able to use 120 format film. This particular camera uses 620 format film.

Q: 9. I do not find the info of expiry date... The product photo says its 04/2013. Could you please specify this? Thanks.

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase.

Q: 10. Is this a Tungsten Film

A: No this is not, it is daylight balanced.

Many people use this for portraiture but I love this film for indoor or lower light pinhole work. The color shifts little to me and the reciprocity is manageable.

I really like shooting in natural light so it is nice to have a bit of a higher film speed . This film scans very well (low grain) and has beautiful color. Even though it costs a bit more - I think it is worth it!

Wonderful natural colors and fine grain. Sorry, but digital never comes close! Using in large format, grain is never and issue, and who says a little grain is bad anyway? Scans very well. Love, Love, Love IT!!!!!

Portra has a special look that's hard to get on digital. Scans great too if you want to make digital prints instead of c-prints.
