Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Besides the bundled software, what are the differences between this MK3 version and the previous M-Audio Keystation Mini 32 II version?

A: The main differences between the Keystation Mini 32 MKII and MKIII versions are the included software and a slight color change for the body.

Q: 2. Could this be configured to control software such as lightroom or premiere pro?

A: This is feedback from users of this product. As long as you do not install the Korg MIDI USB drivers, it has the potential to be mapped to different DAWs. However with that being said, Korg as a manufacturer does not guarantee this controller to work with anything that does not support their drivers.

Q: 3. I want to know that, does this controller can use in Sound Device Mixpre-10T?

A: No. This is designed to controll software within a DAW.

Q: 4. will it work through usb c adapter to a macbook pro?

A: Yes, the M-Audio Oxygen Pro 61-Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller will work when used with a USB-C adapter to connect to a MacBook Pro Laptop Computer.

Q: 5. is it good for beginners

A: For learning to play keyboard, no, it is not very good as the keys are very small and do not feel like a real keyboard. For someone getting into computer music production, yes.

Q: 6. The specifications say that it has a 5-pin MIDI output port, is that correct? Cause I can’t find this on any pictures over the internet.

A: No, there's a miniusb/usb 2.0 output port and just it.

Q: 7. when this controller is used to control more than 9 channels..we need to go to the next bank of faders and after returning to first bank (1-9) previous values of software mixer faders jumped to the new settings when we try to move sliders of nano kontrol?

A: Because the faders are not automated, they will remain in the same physical position when you jump from one bank to another. However the levels on each bank will not change when you shift banks. The levels on the next set of banks will ONLY begin to change if you begin touching the faders.

Q: 8. Does this come with a cable?

A: Yes it comes with a USB cable.

Q: 9. Does this work with Adobe Audition CC?

The Hammer 88 is a no frills MIDI controller with a nice weighted action. Construction seems solid. A pretty good buy for the price.

I picked this up a few days ago on a whim. I just built a PC and thought why not have something to play music with. It was small enough that I can keep it on my desk with my keyboard but long enough to have 2 hands on it.

Only downsides are the sustain button kind of requires one hand to use which limits on how much you are able to play, BUT the software it comes with (While intimidating at first) allows tons of freedom to record and overdub so you can make complete and full sounding songs even if you don't know how to play piano properly or at all.

For the price this thing is awesome and so much fun from the eyes of a complete novice

I found nothing wrong with this keyboard since I opened it, everything works smoothly, there are auto-midi-mapped buttons for specific DAW's and its lots of fun to customize!

The M-Audio Keystation 49 MK3 is an excellent choice for beginners or casual users looking for a simple, portable, and affordable MIDI controller. While it lacks some of the bells and whistles of more advanced controllers, it provides a solid foundation for virtual instrument control, DAW navigation, and music production. The included software bundle adds great value, making it a well-rounded package for those just starting in the world of MIDI and digital music.

Bought this for my daughter, who has played for 5-6 years, and been doing composition for a couple of years. Great keyboard for her. She likes how the keyboard feels. She got started using the keyboard right away, and enjoyed it a lot.

I've been playing piano for over 50 years now. And all types of keyboards over the last half century as they've evolved (Farfisa Compact, Hammond B3, Ensoniq, Fatar, Korg, etc.) But, I've always loved the piano the most. I owned a beautiful 6' Yamaha Grand for 25 years but had to get rid of it 10 years ago due to our downsizing to a smaller place; it took up a LOT of room. Since then, I've bought and subsequently donated a dozen or so other keyboards, which sounded good, but didn't have that true piano feel. Any pianist can close their eyes and tell you if it's a real piano, just by that feel. But, not with this baby! With the right software (True Pianos, Kontakt, Ominsphere, etc.) you can sound as good as ANY piano on this planet, AND you can do it with headphones if you want! But, the feel, the expression, is pure piano! Why is it perfect?; Price, Quality, Weight (it's very heavy!), Appearance (it's beautiful!), Simplicity (it's just a keyboard with no screen, and no internal sounds; my PC monitor and keyboard is in front of it), and most importantly - FEEL. It IS a real piano. Just close your eyes and play....... It's perfect in every way. The last keyboard I will ever need and own!!!

I am sure if you're reading this you probably have already seen some youtube reviews on this unit. It's kind of staggering how much you get for the dollar with modern controllers. The one negative I will put out there is the keys definitely do feel a little vague at times. Also, not that I plan to put this to the test, but I have a feeling dropping this keyboard the wrong way would have a bad outcome. Buttons, dials and sliders are all great, but this chassis honestly feels pretty thin.

Again- that's part and parcel for this kind of money. If I could change one thing it would mainly be the key feel. If you are looking for something cheap and cheerful to make some loops or practice on the go, this is it!
