Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many 36 frames rolls can this 100 feet roll can yield? Thanks.

A: You could get about twenty 36 exposure rolls of film from a 100' roll of bulk film.

Q: 2. Is this film stable in the fridge? I shot a roll after 8 months in the fridge and it seemed much more grainy than the last roll. I'm also asking because I sent it to a smaller lab closer to home and want to know if that could have been the problem instead.

A: I have never had any issues storing them in a refrigerator.

Q: 3. Does this product come with a film canister for each roll you buy?

A: yes it comes

Q: 4. When is the expiry date of the film

A: Current inventory in our 420 superstore has an expiration date of May 2022. Based on the batch received, inventory in possession might have varying dates around the same approximate time period.

Q: 5. Do you know if this film will be available in 100 feet (bulk) size ?

A: There is no mention of it from Kodak Alaris. Here is what the P3200_FAQs sheet says: Q. Will you expand to support medium format? (120) A. Possibly, depending on the level of demand. But initially it will be available in 135 format only. So 120 format is possible if demand for P3200 is high enough.

Q: 6. how many exposures are there

A: There are 36 exposures on this roll.

Q: 7. I can't seem to find on the page how many exposures are in this roll?

A: The amount of exposures and rolls you can get from the TMY 35mm 100' Roll, would in part depend on how you load the cassettes. There really isnt a set standard for this. If you are looking for pre-loaded 35mm cassettes, then you would want to go with one of the following 24 or 36 exposure rolls. http://bhpho.to/1lQsN8g

Q: 8. Can you please tell me what the expiry date is? Also, will the package go through XRay at customs and will this be OK for the film? I am planning to buy this from Australia

A: B&H buys and sells film in bulk. In general we regularly maintain fresh film stock. All of our film is at least 6 months from expiration (typically much longer). Anytime film stock is less than 6 months from expiration we sell it in a separate section and label it as short-dated film and also price it with a slight discount (again due to the volumes we sell this rarely occurs). Unfortunately we do not have access to our inventory to hand inspect the expiration date of any of our films prior to purchase. We do not take any special precautions when shipping film (it is worth noting that the film manufacturers do not have any special shipping precautions when delivering to us we ship under the same conditions as they do). UPS has advised us that the scanners they use during transit are not strong enough to damage any photographic or x-ray sensitive products during shipping. We recommend using them as your carrier and if you are concerned about shipping conditions, can always opt to ship with Next Day or 2nd Day options so as to minimize the amount of time the film sits in transit.

Q: 9. Is this film DX-coded?

A: yes, it is dx coded.

Q: 10. Is this bulk roll expiring soon?

A: Unfortunately we do not have access to the expiration date, but B&H does not sell film that is within 6 months of expiring as new.

I use this in a film body camera with an ultra-wide angle lens during wedding & engagement photographs. It works great as 'street' or 'photojournalistic' film and will capture very low light scenes well. I've developed it myself and had it professionally developed - either way I got great results and I continue to use it at every wedding I photograph.

This film is really great when I used it with my canon ae-1 camera! For my photo class we were assigned to use this film and capture night life..I went out on the streets and shot away! Even with super low light the pictures came out clear with detail!

I shoot burlesque performers, i try not to use flash, I like playing with natural light, this film has given me the flexibility to get great detail and great textures by reducing grain. =)

The level of grain isn’t excessive and I’m getting great images from this film. I developed it in Xtol with satisfactory results.

The newly re-introduced TMAX 3200 is exactly like it was before it was discontinued a few years ago-it's fabulous. I shot it it 3200 and processed the film in HC-110, dilution B with terrific results. The grain structure is very pleasing while the shadow detail remains superb. I highly recommend this film for those who enjoy shooting high speed film.
