Q: 3. What kind of heat does this tolerate if I should use it on a flood lamp?

A: I can't say for sure exactly what temperature the nylon will tolerate. I use it with Speedlights only, so there is never any heat buildup.

Q: 4. I've tried a few speedlight softboxes recently and had to return them because they don't fit. I purchased phottix odin trigger and a couple of receivers from B&H for my Sony HVL-60m flashes. Unfortunately I have to use hot shoe adapters (older sony alpha camera) in order to connect the receivers. Taking the receiver, adapter and flash into consideration the height increases significantly. Does the Impact Hexi 24 Speedlight Softbox flash bracket allow for this height?

A: It's certainly adjustable, with a pair of rails that the octobox slides on. I don't know how much wiggle room you'd need for your setup, but I use the Nikon SB800 flash, mounted on a phottix trigger, and I still have several inches I could move the octobox higher, if needed.

A: Not for full body shots. The function of a soft box is to diffuse a specular light source i.e. a strobe, it does not increase the light output of the flash. Use this for fill on a sunny day to balance of a harsh shadow or as a main light on an overcast day to help give dimension to a headshot.
