Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the minimum height?

A: The minimum height for this product is 4 feet.

Q: 2. Does this work with the Panasonic Plasma tv model TH-65VX100U?

A: The TH-65VX100U requires the TY-ST65VX100. We cannot guarantee that the tabs and slots will fit properly with the 100 series model.

Q: 3. Does this attach to the easylink connection on the manfrotto tripod?

A: Not by itself, no. You could use a 125 adapter to screw one one of this arm into the Easylink, but it might rotate on you if you have the majority of the weight on the counter-clockwise side. You're better off using a Super Clamp to attach it directly to one of the legs..

Q: 4. How much does it weight?

A: From Manfrotto "Very lightweight, weighs less than 0,5 Kg (1lb)"

Q: 5. What is the weight rating at maximum displacement with the camera on the end?

A: Unfortunately Dot Line does not offer that specification for this platform.

Q: 6. Can I request a 3d model? We are building a pipe measurer with this product included in the design.

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not provided us with this kind of information.

Q: 7. How does this attach to a tripod?

A: Usually you would use a Super Clamp to attach it to one of the legs.

Q: 8. Does it come with any sort of box/case?

A: no it does Not

Q: 9. It says DSLR but will it work with mirrorless cameras?

A: Yes it will work with a mirrorless camera..

Q: 10. What's in the box? What do I get? Does it come with a case?

A: The product is one Camgear Pedestal And Dolly With 100mm Head. It does not come with a case.

Doesn't get much easier to steady a shot.

Super useful for light travel photography! I've taken it to Disneyland and it was nice and light (certainly compared to a tripod). You can make your shot level on almost any uneven surface and it feels comfortable to hold. Definitely worth the price!

Personally I take the occasional long-exposure image but I hate carrying a tripod everywhere I go so I often end up balancing the camera on a bag, fence etcI've tried the micro tripod option but I found they didn't cope very well with a heavier camera, so I started looking for a beanbag option and found Pod.For the price I think this is a very high quality product. It's made from a really tough feeling material and I can't see it suffering any damage in a hurry. The Pod has a tripod mount inside it (I reckon you could take it out if you wanted to) which allows you to attach the camera to the beanbag. This is a pretty neat feature, not least because it means you can carry the whole thing by holding the camera OR the Pod as you wander around without fear that they'll come apart. It is worth noting that Pod make two versions of this beanbag, where the only difference is where the tripod mount is. With this one (the Green) the mount is on the edge of the circle, so it's suited to a camera with a heavier lens where the bulk of the weight is in front of the camera's tripod mount. It's also perfect for old rangefinders where the tripod mount is often off-centered on the camera. To be honest I can't really see the benefit to the Red Pod which has the central tripod mount, unless you were using a really small camera. I use a Sony A7 with my Green Pod and, even with tiny lenses, using the offset tripod mount is fine. The results are just what you'd expect, and the whole thing is pretty small and easy to carry around, highly recommended to other tripod haters!

I used the green pod several times so far, mainly for low angle photography. For example I used it when I was taking splash shots of coffee cups on the ground and I a) did not want to put my camera on the dirty ground and b) I wanted it to be a little higher than if I had put it on the ground directly. I also used it several times to take self portraits at the beach and at other locations because it allows me to take said low angle shots that I really like and that my regular tripod does not allow me to take, even with the middle column taken out and to the side. The camera can be easily screwed onto the pod, however, it does take a little training until you know how to do it quickly! I aways grab the pod at both sides, which creates this little bump to the top, making it easy to screw it it. Then you just clip the things together around the lens and you are set to go! I love it because it is so lightweight and easy to carry around and also because you can get really low to the ground with it :)

I needed a way to stabilize my Nikon D300 in NYC when I was shhoting the Christmas lights. Trying to use a tripod with the crowded sidewalks was not practical, so I used this pod with very good success. My stock agency accepted several of my images that i shot with it. The trick is to find a friendly mailbox, bench, or fence to rest the pod on. Although it has a tripod mount, i didn't use it rather just put pressure on the camera as I was taking the shot. I think this would provide sharp shots of 1-2 seconds with a bit of practice.

Had this before and literally the dog ate it. Had to get new one!! This little item is light weight, easy to carry and comes in handy in the most unusual places when you can't or don't want to carry a tripod.

my review, I I received the pod fairly quickly. it's a very nice size and, it is a great support for my camera. you screw it into the bottom of your camera, and strap your lens down. it feels really good in a palm of my hand when I'm holding my camera taking pictures. sometimes you even forget it's even there, it's so comfortable to use. and when you do need it, it's really nice that you can set it on any surface that is uneven and, get a great level shot. there were a few things I read about, buying a little canvas bag, some plastic beads and, just making your own bean bag. to that I have to say, these pods are made of really nice strong, very durable material. and if you buy a bag and beans yourself and, make your own, there's no doubt in my mind, that quality won't come close to the quality of these pods. By the time you spend the money on subpar materials, you can just spend a few dollars more and, get something of great quality, these pods are very inexpensive and totally worth it.

Does exactly what it's meant to. Supports larger cameras remarkably well, I had no problems with my Canon 5D MkII and 16-35L lens. Small enough to be useful with GoPros and iPhone cameras (both need simple adaptor for a tripod screw) and not any considerable weight or space consideration so it's really easy to carry around. On a recent trip I found this did 90% of what I needed a tripod for. I now throw it in the back of my motorcycle for roadside shots on the GoPro. Only regret is I should've bought one of these years ago when I first saw them!
