A: I have used both batteries successfully with my Olympus OMD EM1 camera for over a year. The Watson battery voltage is acceptable to the EM 1 camera is all I can say. Most household appliances are stated as being designed to be 120v, but operate just fine as long as the voltage is somewhere between 110 and 130. Maybe the same applies here?The Olympus batteries do seem to afford a little long life after a full charge, but it's very negligible.

Working perfectly after 1+ year. I see no difference in performance between this battery and the genuine Olympus battery. But here's a tip: This battery seemed to fail on me at just over 1 year of light use. The contacts looked perfectly clean, so I hadn't thought to clean them. Finally I decided to clean them anyway, and the battery started working perfectly after that. So if you develop a problem with this battery giving you an error when attempting to charge it, do be sure to try cleaning the contacts. 5

I purchased a battery when I got a HLD_6 battery holder for my OLY M-5. I will admit that I had previous experience with Watson batteries. I have a Oly Stylus 1, which uses a different size battery. They worked great! I used the Stylus 1 camera on an African safari. I had 2 Watson's and a oem Oly battery. I never ran out of battery power. I will admit that I used a Hahanel battery charger I bought it in Europe many years ago I at that time used a Canon camera. The Oly OEM charger is to slow. Charging 4 batteries after a day takes too long. The Hahnel will charge USB, AA, AAA and 7-8 volt camera batteries not at the same time. This is the best travel charger I have used. 5
