Create unique, stylized photographs with a slice of sharp focus surrounded by beautifully blurred imagery by using Lensbaby's Composer Pro II with Edge 50 Optic, available here with a Canon EF mount. This updated tool is completely compatible with the established Optic Swap System and can use any of the numerous optics available. This version improves on the original Pro model by featuring a metal body as well as an improved tilt function that ranges from 0-15° in any direction.

Bundled with it is the Edge 50, offering a normal angle of view with coverage for full-frame image sensors. This flat field optic differs from your standard lens by creating a slice of focus when tilted that can be manipulated in position by tilting the Composer and in size by manually changing the aperture from f/3.2 to 22. The optic also offers manual focus which, by using the close focus extension feature, can focus as close as 8" from your subject. Additionally, this optic has a 46mm filter thread as well as an internal 9-blade diaphragm for smooth out-of-focus areas.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what is the difference between the 'sweet' version and the 'edge' version?

A: The main difference would be the shape of the blur/bokeh pattern created by the lens. The Lensbaby "Sweet" lenses create a rounder radial bokeh blur pattern, while the Lensbaby Edge creates a straight 'slice' (think more rectangular) bokeh blur pattern. The size and amount of the blur with both lenses can be controlled by the aperture you choose, and the strength and position of the blur can be controlled by the position of the lens.

Q: 2. I just order one here on B&H. HOPE it does Come with lens caps. On the Lensbaby site is says it comes with front and rear caps but here on B&H the in the box description doesn't show that??? In fact they offered me a $10 Lensbaby front cap as a recommended accessory. Guess I'll find out when it arrives next Tuesday.

A: The Twist 60 for Nikon will come with front and rear lens caps.

Q: 3. I'm looking for a versatile medium telephto lens for both photo and video. The lensbaby is intriguing. Can I enlarge the in-focus area enough to use it as a true telephoto to capture video simply by stopping down the aperture? Has anyone experience using this lens for video?

A: Hi John, This lens can be used for video but it is not a telephoto lens.

Q: 4. Are there instructions as to how to use the discs that were included? I'm lost as to how to use.

A: I have a link to one of "How To" videos with the FIsh-Eye lens and disks. If you need any help, please start a video chat with us and an expert from our store will guide you over an one-to-one video chat. Q: 5. Thank you Emily. One more question. When the aperture is set on lens, does the camera recognize what aperture was selected. Thank you

A: There are no electronics in our Twist 60 so most likely your camera will not recognize which aperture you are on. You can check camera compatibility here: a href= http://store.lensbaby.com/camera-compatibility/ target= _blank http://store.lensbaby.com/camera-compatibility//a

Q: 6. How is the aperture set? Is it done so using the camera itself? Many thanks.

A: The aperture is set by twisting the optic itself (it has a built in aperture).

Q: 7. Is the Twist 60 at all effective with a crop sensor camera, like the micro four thirds format?

A: The Twist 60 was designed for full-frame cameras. We don't recommend using it on a crop sensor camera because a lot of the twisty effect will be cropped out by your camera. Here is our Twist 60 comparison between a full-frame camera and a crop censor camera: a href= http://lensbaby.com/twist-60-full-frame-vs-crop-sensor/. target= _blank http://lensbaby.com/twist-60-full-frame-vs-crop-sensor/./a Here is a review of this optic on a crop sensor camera: a href= https://www.lifepixel.com/gear/lensbaby-twist-60. target= _blank https://www.lifepixel.com/gear/lensbaby-twist-60./a There would be even more of a crop when using a Micro 4/3 camera.

Q: 8. Compatible with Canon 40D?

A: Technically it is compatible but this optic is specifically designed for full-frame cameras. If you have a crop sensor camera, most of the effect will be cropped out. Some effect will be visible with the aperture wide open.

Q: 9. Does the lens support built-in metering?

A: I use it on a Nikon dF set to aperture control (manual focus) The rangefinder works well and no metering problems.

Q: 10. will this fit nikon D7000?

A: Yes, the Lensbaby Fixed Body with Fisheye Optic (Nikon F) is compatible with the Nikon D7000.
